Sunbrook Academy At Woodstock

We absolutely love Sunbrook Academy! From our very first tour, it felt cozy, organized, and genuinely like a home away from home. Director Laura and Bethany made us feel supported from day one, and every morning we’re greeted with real smiles. As daycare parents of two littles (with a toddler and an infant), safety and communication is everything to us. Sunbrook goes above and beyond in both. They notify us immediately of any incident — including picking up the phone to call if there’s even a head bump or bites from other kiddos. Their intake form let us personalize diaper schedules, feeding preferences, and special needs, which reassured us that our kids were addressed as individuals. The daily app updates with photos are the highlight of our day, and you can tell the staff enjoy sending them just as much as we love receiving them. Our toddler adjusted instantly — meeting the class guinea pig on his first day helped so much during those quiet drop-off mornings. At our previous daycare, mornings were loud and chaotic and often ended in tears; at Sunbrook, drop-off is peaceful and happy. The environment is calm, structured, and consistent. There’s very low staff turnover, which says a lot — you can feel the joy in the classrooms. Before choosing Sunbrook, we toured other centers that were either too hands-off (like “diaper changes as needed,” which didn’t feel realistic) or too rigid (testing toddlers against curriculum milestones). Sunbrook has the perfect middle ground. Kids are encouraged to learn at their own pace, participate without pressure, and most importantly… have fun while being safe. They even host thoughtful community events for parents and children, often partnering with local businesses for raffles and surprises — such a bonus and nice way to join in as parents and for being new to the area ourselves! Their pricing is very fair for the level of care and communication they provide. Sunbrook truly listens to feedback and is always improving, even though they’re already amazing. We are so grateful to have found this sweet crew. Highly recommend to any parent searching for a safe, loving, and balanced environment!

I am beyond impressed—I just had to leave a review! My daughter has been homeschooled up until today, her first day of Pre-K at Sunbrook. After touring several schools that didn’t feel quite right, we stepped into Sunbrook, and I knew instantly that this was the perfect place. The tight-knit security, friendly staff, impeccable organization, and cleanliness all stood out. By the end of the tour, I felt certain that we wanted to be part of the Sunbrook family. Some of my favorite things so far include the strong security system—I feel truly confident that my daughter is safe here. I also love how pets are part of the learning environment, with each classroom having a class pet and a bunny up front. The classrooms are spacious, and the entire building is beautifully decorated. Every time I’ve called or visited, everyone has been so warm and helpful. I’m excited to see how our journey here unfolds and am hopeful that we’ll continue to love being a part of this wonderful academy!

Sunbrook Academy and the staff are like family to us! We've been there for the past 3 years, since our daughter was born, and we have nothing but positive things to say about the facility. From the classroom learning, theme-days, and fun activities, we know that our child is in an environment where she is learning and growing both academically and socially. The director (Hope) and assistant director (Hannah) are awesome and super responsive.

When we had issues at a former daycare facility and began looking for care suggestions, the director reached out to me. She was open, honest, and very understanding of the situation my family was coming from and attentive to provide those needs. We were able to begin in less than a week. My 4yr old said the best part of their day was school (which has never happened before!) And I have several pictures everyday of our 6mo old laughing, playing, and being nurtured as I would if I were able to be home. I have also had great interactions with the teachers. Each teacher has been competent, aware of my child, and engaging during drop off/pick up so I feel confident in the academic & social development my kids are receiving. Sunbrook is the best care facility in Woodstock. Hands down!

I can’t say enough good things about this place! This was the first time my 4 yr old daughter would be going to a school/daycare in her life. We have always been very fortunate to have friends and family to turn to for our childcare so it was a little bit difficult for us knowing we had to send her to a place we didn’t know for preschool. I spent a lot of time reviewing and visiting a lot of preschool programs and childcare facilities in my area. Sunbrook was absolutely an easy choice to make. The directors, the teachers, and the facility is amazing! I am a big stickler when it comes to cleanliness when I send my child somewhere. If I feel like it’s dirtier than my own home I will not send my kids there. This place is so clean! Everyone is so kind, Patient, and happy! I highly recommend visiting Sunbrook and sending your Littles to them! You will not be disappointed.
