I'd give this daycare ZERO stars if I could. The director, Simmie, has got to be one of the least communicative and rudest people for the position and I can't imagine she'd be working there if her parents didn't own the place. She takes zero accountability for anything and attacked my son's mother about her parenting, saying things like "you're a bad mom". My 3 year old son was enrolled here for nearly a year but we began to get constant calls asking for us to pick him up for various reasons whether an illness or behavioral. The behavioral calls were weird and not something we've experienced with our son ever in any type of social setting. Then the illness ones began to rack up requiring us to get doctor notes for him to return. Our pediatrician expressed concern and disappointment in the daycare and told us to look somewhere else. I asked Simmie if I could look at the camera footage of my son's behavioral issues and instead of working with me on this her response was immediately defensive saying I'm accusing them of lying. I'll attach my message to them below. It was strictly to see what we, as parents, were missing and then wanting to make sure we're all on the same page of how to handle it for consistency purposes. For the last 4 months, my son has been coming home sad saying "it's all my fault", "im the bad guy", "I ruin everything". HE"S THREE. So the fact that they're hiding camera footage and getting defensive worries me. Especially with the bruises my son comes home with. My son's mother also worked at their north campus and I'm aware they had an employee who showed up drunk. After she was caught, she wasn't fired or taken off the schedule. When an employee voiced their concern about this, they were disciplined. They've been reported to DECAL (The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning) by me, other parents and even former employees.
My grandson has been at TLA South for 4 years. It started out as a great experience. The owners are very friendly and seem caring. However, it has quickly declined under the direction of Simmie. My daughter has had so many unnecessary issues with management and communication with Kayla at the front desk. The teachers for the most part have been great with my grandson up until he started the summer camp. On multiple occasions over the past 2 months he has mentioned his teacher does not like him, other children bullying him, and that he hates going there now. For a 5 year old to say that, it breaks my heart. I am relieved that we are now done with this daycare and front staff. I am thankful that his little sister does not attend TLA and instead is taking excellent care of by another school nearby. The difference in the facilities is huge, worth the wait and extra cost!
Great school! Teachers and staff are very compassionate. This year has been a very hectic year for my family, and they have been very patient and understanding with taking care of my son. Mrs Kelsey is amazing and ensures the kids are always learning and engaging in fun activities. She also was a HUGE help with potty training my son. I highly recommend
Love this place. This is the first daycare my daughter has attended and everyone made me feel so comfortable leaving my little girl. My daughter is so loved here and loves going everyday. You can tell the teachers really care about all the children and are so great! My daughter is always happy.
This school is the absolute best around. Both my kids and my niece attended here. The care is top notch, the facilities are nice and clean, and the activities they do with the kids are educational and entertaining. My oldest has been out for three years and still gets excited to tell Ms. Lindley about his accomplishments. Speaking of, Ms. Lindley is the best Pre-K teacher any parent can ask for. She knows how to teach the kids and is so caring. My son went in to kindergarten very prepared and already reading and doing math. I couldn't ask for more.
