Truly, I could not have picked a better place for both of my girls to start school. St. Al's was such a blessing to our family - it was such a positive, happy, fun and creative achool environment that felt like family. That first school experience can really change how your kids feel about learning/school forever, and both mine love going. The teachers all are so sweet, you can tell they actually want to be there and love their jobs + love your kids. Ms Lisa and Ms Joanne are absolutely amazing in the 2s class, I was so impressed at all the sensory activities and art projects. We loved Ms Suzanne and Ms Pam in 3s also - I saw so much progress in handwriting, counting and letter recognition and my girls only went part time. Could not suggest this school more! We were so sad the military moved us away from this great spot!
A Wonderful 7-Year Journey! We've been part of this preschool community for the past 7 years, with all three of our children attending--and we couldn't be more grateful for the experience. From the very beginning, the staff has been nurturing, patient, and truly invested in each child's growth and development. Each of our children had different personalities and learning styles, and the teachers met them where they were, helping them thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed, blending play-based learning with just the right amount of structure to prepare them for kindergarten and beyond. The communication with families has always been clear and consistent, and the sense of community is something we'll truly miss. It's rare to find a place that feels like an extension of your family, but this preschool has been just that for us. Thank you for giving our children such a strong and joyful start to their educational journey!
My family has been a part of the St Alphonsus Pre-school for the past 5 years! We have had two kids go through their programs, starting with the 2 year olds, rising 3s, 3s, and Pre-K 4s! I can not say enough good things about this school! From the adminstration to the teaching staff, they are all not only professional but personable, friendly, and just wonderful people! I am so sad to have this be my last year with them, as my youngest will be starting kindergarten next year. I have one in public school Kindergarten this year and she was well prepared and is doing fantastic with the foundation she received at St Alphonsus. But if Kindergarten has taught be anything, it is how absolutely spoiled we have been with St Alphonsus and the wonderful program they have created! From the clear and concise communication both in person and through email, the pictures they send daily that help you feel connected and know what your kids are doing the hours they are away and especially the events they host to include and involve families and showcase the kids hard work and talents! We were truly blessed to have such a wonderful foundation of learning and fun!
AMAZING! My daughter has been enrolled at St. Alphonsus Preschool for three years now and we are so pleased! She has learned so much beyond the typical preschool curriculum. She has learned to be empathetic and courageous. She has learned to try new things and interact with her peers. Not to mention, the staff are so kind, the school is clean and up-to-date, and everyone at St. Al's is incredibly invested. The schedules are flexible and they offer before and after care, perfect for the working parents! They are the type of school that will never be forgotten. Thank you St. Al's!
We had a descent experience with Ms Kara who is one of their prek teachers, however, had a horrible experience with Cheri Gettier who is one of the Rising 3s teachers. Please be very vigilant and mindful if you have any child in her class. My daughter had been telling me she does not like her teacher for several weeks, but could not verbalize why, and at pick up i witnessed Cheri snatch two books out of her little hands and yell at her because she was excited to see me at pick up and didn’t put her books away. She had just turned three years old. Completely uncalled for. I was lucky to finally witness her behavior and immediately pulled my daughter out of her class. I’m disheartened that I got no support from Director Eileen and assistant Director Laura. The Director stated she would look into it, but nothing came of it. Please be vigilant and listen to your children, especially the little ones, as this school will offer little to no accountability if something goes wrong with your child. Unfortunately, I tried to reach out via phone and email to the archdiocese several times throughout the summer with no response.
