What Parents Say
Shaw Temple Academy receives mostly positive feedback, with parents praising staff dedication, academic progress using the Abeka curriculum, and supportive leadership. However, one parent reported a negative experience with specific Pre-K teachers who they felt lacked patience with their child during adjustment.
My 2 year old is thriving at this location. She came in from another daycare in which she was not thriving and becoming very upset when i would leave her. She did not talk much other then saying No. Which is normal for bilingual families at this age. My son did not start speaking until he was almost 4. So i wanted Elida enrolled in a Daycare to help her with her speech. Within 2 weeks she started saying more words. She is happy and does not get very upset when i leave her. Teachers are great!
I have been very impressed with my experience at Shaw Temple Academy. The staff is very helpful and my child adores all of them. The director, is very accommodating and communicates well with parents. My child loves her teacher, and has flourished tremendously socially, spiritually, and intellectually. Through the Abeka curriculum, my rising kindergartner can read, recognize numbers to 100, and spell!
Mrs Morrison is an active Academy Director who truly does her job to support the children’s positive growth. Mrs Harris has helped my 3 year old to grow as a Christian and helped her learn how to write her letters in just the first few weeks of being at the school. I’m amazed at her progress and can’t wait until the end of the year.
If you are looking for a learning center that provides love, PATIENCE and all-around support for your child — this is the place. I lost all hope in finding the right childcare center for our daughter until we enrolled her into Shaw Temple Learning Center.
Excellent experience, I have a four year old reader!!! I really love the Abeka curriculum and dedicated staff. My daughter’s teacher is phenomenal, only drawback is the scary transition to kindergarten. Wish the school could become a charter.
