We loved sending our son here for daycare. This daycare facility is well-managed, clean, and has some of the best teachers who seem to truly care for and bond with the kids. I highly recommend this daycare if you are living in New Braunfels.
During the Covid craze my wife and I moved our kids out of another facility and drove 30 miles out of the way to bring them to New Braunfels Academy. This is one of the few daycares that seemed to apply a rational approach to the hysteria. Ms. Lisa does a phenomenal job of making sure the classes are taking care of each age group. Kids are fed on schedule, they take routine naps, and have plenty of playtime to get their energy out & keep them engaged. Teachers are also responsive when we message them. Paul and Lisa have earned our trust and we will keep our kids there for years to come.
My 2yo has been going here for almost a year. What I love about it is the lovely ladies that are with him for 8 hours a day are usually the same. Not a lot of turn over in the staffing makes it really nice so he’s use to whoever is with him and doesn’t have to be re-introduced to new people that often. Also, typically when I have a question any time of the day they are quick to get back with me. Thank you NBA!!
This “daycare” is going downhill. Myself and other moms have discussed this daycare on our group pages and many families are very very unhappy. The staff is always short and the kids are constantly not in their own classrooms. They do not keep up with parent communication with the app, and say they are too busy. It’s always an apology but this constant staff shortage reflects on this daycare. The staff all look stressed out and the director (I don’t know her name) she constantly laughs things off. They charge families that have left and don’t refund them for what they took out. It’s a mess of a daycare and I’m very surprised it hasn’t been taken out. I am writing this for a friend with a child there that has no other choice but to keep them there and doesn’t want to say anything because she is too kind hearted. I hope this daycare can start stepping things up, it’s very sad. Also, kids are being yelled at and put in timeout often, no set curriculum and just constant winging it. Your kids are better off with an at home nanny.
My child always loves his days at school. He has so many friends and loves his teachers. His teachers are so great with him when he’s having a rough day or not feeling himself. If we have any issues or concerns Lisa handles it before the next school day.
