Multiple parents emphasize feeling secure leaving their children in this nurturing environment.
I absolutely love this daycare and so does my daughter. From her first day in November to now she has always been excited to go to this daycare. The teachers and staff are always so friendly and very helpful, the place is usually always immaculate, yes the kids make a mess but they are always willing to help clean up the toys which I find wonderful. I love how connected everyone is and their learning style for teaching, my daughter is using more words and her creativity has definitely grown and I think its in great credit to this school! As a single mom I love the fact that I can feel safe and secure leaving my child here at this daycare and the fact that my daughter does too.
I have a five-year-old in the Safari room and a baby in the Owl room. Our five-year-old adores her teachers, Ms. Karen and Ms. Maria. She comes home every day excited and eager to share everything she’s learned. Our baby is new to the daycare, but it’s already clear that she loves her teachers, Ms. Nadia and Ms. Lillyann. Whenever I see her in class, she’s full of smiles. Brilliant Starts truly lives up to its name. From ensuring our children are well cared for to providing them with every opportunity and resource to learn and grow, it has given them a wonderful foundation for life.
My almost 2 year old daughter started daycare a few months ago here and I was really scared and nervous because I never had to take my babies to daycare but after both of us crying the first two days at drop off she really started going in to the classroom without a problem and although that made me emotional, it really made me feel so happy that she felt safe to go. It made the process so easy for me and I do not have to stress while i’m at work. I love receiving updates and pictures throughout the day, it makes me happy and she’s so happy everyday to go play and learn. My daughter is talking so much and is so smart. I could not be happier with her teachers and the daycare.
We love our daycare. Our daughter has attended for nearly a year. She loves her teachers and has learned so much. The daycare hours are also great for our work schedules.
Brilliant Starts Learning Academy My child has been bitten 15 times since starting at brilliant starts in April of this year. We received 11 incident reports, including one documenting five bites in a single day. Staff repeatedly assured us our child wasn’t provoking these incidents. I understand that toddlers bite, and I don’t blame the parents of the biters or the teachers in my child’s room. I place responsibility on BSLA’s leadership, primarily the owner, Trish, for failing to take necessary steps to protect my child. During tours, BSLA claims to enforce a “3-bite policy,” where a child is removed after three biting incidents. That policy was not followed. The same child bit mine five times in one day and continued to do so afterward. No action was taken until I threatened to withdraw my child from care. The Director, Tiffany, is a compassionate and caring person. She implemented changes when the biting began, which helped temporarily but didn’t last. I believe BSLA is not equipped to provide a safe environment for toddlers. This week, our child was bitten twice - once on Tuesday and again on Thursday. We had planned for Friday to be his last day, but after Thursday’s incident, we picked him up and did not return. Trish, the owner, witnessed the bite herself while floating between rooms due to staff shortages. That day, my child’s room had only one teacher even with the known biter. That teacher was set up to fail. The most disturbing part was Trish’s response when I approached her to discuss the situation and ask for copies of all bite reports and the daycare’s written bite policy. I was met with sarcasm, deflection, and a lack of accountability that genuinely alarmed me. She even joked that she should have kept my child at the front desk with her all day, as if that were the only way to keep him safe. Oh, also, they don't have a written bite policy. BSLA failed to protect our child during his short time there. Choosing a daycare is stressful enough… I’m sharing our experience to help other parents make informed decisions and to suggest removing BSLA from your list of options.
