I toured this school with hopes that I'd love it because it was the most conveinent location for us. The director who took me on a tour wasn't the warm, welcoming personality I'd expect from someone who will be responsible for my child's care. I tried not to let that turn me off to the center just yet. We went to see the infants room where my son would be and immediately entering, it smelled like sour milk. The director was whispering some information to me (it was nap time) and I whispered a question to her, that was when one of the teachers rudely "shushed" me. I've never been shushed by an adult before so this took me off guard. No one asked questions about my son or his needs. No one seemed interested at all. Another teacher asked me if my son "took Similac or regular milk?" He was 3 1/2 months old. He was hybrid fed, breastmilk and occasional formula (one of the questions I had). I didn't feel confident they would know how to handle a hybrid fed baby since that was how they asked how my son's diet. My overall feeling about the center was very unpleasant and I didn't feel comfortable having them care for my son.
