The Goddard School

The Goddard School of Lynnhaven has been a wonderful place to send our children for the past 4.5+ years. My son started at age 1 and was at Goddard through the Junior K/Kindergarten class, and my daughter started at 4.5 months old with the infants and she is now 3. So we have been through every class at Goddard at least once. All the teachers and staff have been fantastic, and our kids have particularly thrived over the past year in Jr K/K (with Ms. Chandra and Ms. Paula!) and the 2-year-old class (Ms. Tina is a potty-training rock star!). The Jr K/K program is really incredible, and my son is beyond ready for public Kindergarten. We also really appreciate the extra events that Goddard puts on like the Winter Concert, Spring/Easter event, STEAM nights, Trunk or Treat, and the Parents' Nights Out. Goddard has provided us with a safe and enriching place to send our children, and it's nice to have that peace of mind while we're at work.

My son recently started here after being at another school for a year. I wish I just would have put him on the Goddard waitlist to begin with because it’s been so much better here! The teachers are wonderful. They are kind and patient and love the kids. I was also told all the lead teachers have education degrees which I found impressive for a daycare. You can tell there is hardly any turnover either, which was a big problem at our other school. This tells me they must treat the teachers well at Goddard too which is important to me. I want my son to have consistency in teachers and he’s definitely getting that at Goddard! They also help with potty training which is amazing. The school is also so clean and just feels top notch. My favorite thing about Goddard though is how personal everything is. Everyone I talk to knows my son and can tell me how he’s doing at any given moment. Thank you, Goddard! Also, they take MCCYN for you military parents!

My kids are EXTREMELY happy at Goddard - we have never had drop-offs at previous schools as "easy" and happy as they are here. Both are also really expanding in what they know based on what they learn each day. Both are much more imaginative and creative in their play, as well. We love their teachers, and are so happy we made the choice to start our kids at Goddard!

We absolutely love the Goddard School! Our older son attended a summer camp and our younger son attended the toddler program from age 2 - 3. The staff was phenomenal with communication and creating a welcoming environment. Our sons looked forward to attending every day, learned far more than we anticipated and we could not have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend the Goddard School and are so grateful to have had the opportunity to be part of the Goddard family at Lynnhaven!

Both of my children attended Goddard from 2022 until August 2025. My youngest started when she was 4 months old. Throughout the years, Goddard has provided a consistent, fun and welcoming environment for both my kids. The teachers and the office staff go above and beyond to make sure that my children are cared for in an individualized way. They have both learned so much over the years and had a great time in the process. I can’t thank Goddard school enough for such a positive daycare experience for my kids!
