My granddaughter started here a week ago. We were told they open at 6:30am. Paid the registration fee and signed up. Went to drop her off the next morning and told well we don’t take younger ones at 6:30 you have to come back at 7:30am. These times make us late for work. They lied to get us signed up and took our money. Then 2 days later we go to drop her off and we’re told they decided to close for the day. . We now have to change day cares and they won’t give deposit back even though they lied about their hours. We needed a form from them to show we pulled her out to get her in another daycare for ELC. They won’t give me this required letter and saying I have to wait two weeks. They also took payment out for this week even though I withdrew her from there and she is sitting in another daycare. They just sent a picture of her from last week through procare app to make it look like she is there to justify taking money even though she is at a different place now. I replied to message telling them she isn’t even there and they deactivated the mothers procare access so she can’t respond or get a receipt where they took the money. They have been reported to ELC and will be reported to the Better Business Bureau.
My 3-year-old daughter was placed in a VPK classroom with 4- and 5-year-olds. This was never communicated to me beforehand. VPK classrooms are structured like early kindergarten — lots of seatwork, worksheets, and long stretches of structured tasks. Three-year-olds developmentally need play-based learning, not three to four hours of classwork. My baby was getting homework lol AT 3. I went along with it because I have an extremely intelligent child, BUT if yall dont chill out and let my baby be a 3 year old! Because they combined the VPK class with the 3-year-olds (due to being short-staffed), the expectations placed on my daughter were unrealistic for her age. They expected her to behave with the maturity of much older children, and when she had normal toddler reactions — like crying when a toy was taken — she was treated like the problem instead of the victim of poor classroom placement. There is no dedicated three year old class or teacher and it shows. What concerned me most was how they handled her emotions. Instead of comforting, redirecting, or helping her regulate — which is standard in early childhood — she was simply recorded crying and screaming and the video was sent to me. There was no attempt to soothe her, teach her coping skills, or intervene appropriately. Recording a child in distress instead of helping them is unprofessional and concerning. When i asked what was done while she was having a tantrum I was told to come get here because the teacher didn't have time to deal with it.. as she had to teach VPK children. Toddler tantrums are developmentally normal. Emotional regulation is something they learn, and it’s the teacher’s job to guide, not judge. Unfortunately, that wasn’t happening here. My advice to parents: Ask specific questions about class sizes, age groups, staffing, and how they handle emotional regulation. Don’t assume they’ll place your child correctly — ask. If your instincts feel off, trust them. The communication here is poor and the owner is just concerned about keeping teachers, not necessarily the wellbeing of your child. My opinion. I hope this review helps another parent avoid the stress we went through. Alot of the good comments are made by people who work there/friends. Edit: my daughter has not been at this daycare for 3 weeks and Lynette is still charging my bank account, not answering the phone or returning calls. HOW GHETTO and unprofessional. What's the problem?
My son started at this daycare when he had just turned 1 years old. Before he turned 2 he knew all the letters of the alphabet and their sounds, he also knew all the colors and shapes! I’m very impressed with how smart he is and how much he has learned over the years! He is now 3 and still attending. His 3 year teacher is also amazing and helping him in areas he needs help. All of the teachers and staff are AMAZING! They greet us every morning, they really care about the children, their health, and development. The daycare is very clean, organized and well decorated. The kids have plenty of activities to do daily. And have you seen the playground? This is hands down the best daycare you’ll find in Lake Wales!
The best daycare I’ve had for my son, he’s learned so much from being here and has showed how much he’s advanced in his pre k schooling. The teachers are amazing with the kids and show so much encouragement for the parents and the children as well!
My 4yo daughter started at this daycare 9/17/2025 and at pick up, the after school staff raved how great she did on her first day. The next day I went to pick her up and the owner assistant who I never met and didn’t introduce herself stated because my daughter had a meltdown on the playground and told her teacher NO when it was her turn to stop playing on the swing was basically expelled. She was kind enough to let my daughter come tomorrow but wont be allowed back after that. I kindly declined because obviously my daughter was not wanted at their facility. As professionals managing kids, a tantrum will merits a time out or similar discipline. Funny how they wanted to enroll my son who’s autistic for before care and I’m wondering how would they manage one of his meltdowns if they are not equipped to handle a regular 4 yr old meltdown. I was also warned but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. This is for anybody who’s thinking about putting your child there make sure you have a backup plan. Also from reading the previous reviews and friends having personal experiences it seems like this is an ongoing issue. It’s ok to let parents know that your staff is not equip for special needs or high functioning children but to encourage us to apply and make the decisions to expel them after a few days is very unprofessional and is very frustrating for working parents who would’ve took the time to look elsewhere if you were honest and transparent! Please do better!
