At first, we thought we hit the jackpot with this daycare. Outwardly, this seemed to be the Harvard of daycares, but our experience was unfortunately not what we expected. One of our kids was told by a tenured, adored teacher by the Director (because she loves the Director’s daughter who’s in the classroom), that my child was a “bad kid”. I am certain my child, who was 3 at the time, did not deserve hearing that, and whatever else he experienced that I was not aware of. They later suspended him for behavioral issues and we ultimately decided to part ways with the school. He was very mild-mannered for a 3 year old boy, and I’ve heard from numerous people that this daycare favors girls. I have experienced this myself as well. We have also had unfortunate experiences there with our infant. Overall, I don’t think my kids were in physical danger, and if you have a sweet little girl it will probably be a great place for your family. Otherwise, I would not recommend it. I generally avoid writing negative reviews, but this place brought us countless heartache worse than the little snippets I’ve shared here. Management will likely provide a canned response with an apology for my experience coupled with perhaps a passive aggressive undermining response. To current Primrose staff reading, save your breath unless you wish to confirm you’ve replaced your Director. There are many other daycares in the area that are fantastic and we’ve had wonderful experiences with.
Overall, great school. Great teachers and administrative staff. Highly recommend if you care about your child’s education and safety. My daughter has learned a lot and enjoys going to school. I’m thankful to have found them. Wouldn’t want her in any other school.
Low teacher turnover rate (a high rate at our last daycare is why we switched). Very organized, clean, policies are strictly followed. Staff is friendly and knowlegable. School is beautifully designed.
I LOVE Primrose Academy of VB South! I was so sad we had to leave due to our move. I honestly cannot thank the staff at this daycare enough for how much they love and cared for my little boy. They always kept his well-being and safety in mind. I was a nervous wreck originally putting him into a daycare but the peace of mind I received from Primrose made it such an easy transition for both of us. Since day one my boy was already learning new things and having a great time at daycare! He would come home with paintings or singing songs! I cannot recommend Primrose Academy enough! 10/10!!! I’m gonna miss seeing the staff! Thank you again for caring for my boy!!!
I have sent both of my daughters there since they were old enough and I truly believe its the best decision I could have made. The major advancement I've seen in my oldest compared to the neighbors children around the same age is incredible. I've always been met with meaningful welcomes by whoever is at the front desk and by management by name. Also, I've noticed each child that walks in and leaves is greeted by name and you can tell they regularly are interacted with. I used to get nervous when my daughters were moved to older aged classrooms due to the chance of nerves and a possible unfamiliar atmosphere. But after each time neither have lost a step and get more and more excited about going to school each day. I cant say enough how amazing this school has been and continues to be for my girls!
