Primrose is outstanding to me. I feel they are very clean and on top of things. They are always so welcoming with great energy as soon as step in the door. They make the transition from parent to daycare so easy. I love all of the learning and skills my child receives at Primrose. They off great food from the chef. They have a very nice outside play area. I also wanted to mention the office staff is always helpful and answer the phone 99% of the time. They are quick to inform you of emergency or if your little one is note feeling well. I love Primrose.
I will definitely recommend Primrose School of Sandy Springs South to my friends. I visited about ten schools before choosing Primrose, and I’m so happy with my decision. 1. I really appreciate that the school updates its menu regularly — that’s very important to me. I think it’s the only school where children are served fresh fruits. 2. I also love their educational program. It’s well-structured, and all the teachers follow it closely, which helps parents know what to expect. Ms. Victoria and MS. Erika put so much effort into teaching the children. My son already knows all his letters and has started trying to read, which is such a big step for his age!
We had a wonderful experience with the Primrose team! They set the bar high for what care could look like for our little guy. We saw continued learning and development as he moved from the infant classes to the toddler programs, truly enjoying the environment and staff. He was excited to go to school each day to see his friends and hug his teachers. The staff members and teachers really care about each individual child and what makes them unique, going above and beyond to make them feel special. We made a transition to another school solely based on location to our home / offices and it has reinforced how great Primrose is - diligent in care, kindness, and communication! We would highly recommend!
Update: My son is now in Kindergarten and started going to the afterschool program. It is a MAJOR difference. I also considered my infant son starting however after seeing an infant laying on his back on the floor, an employee holding an infant with one hand, then another employee wearing shoes in the infant room after Raneet advised me it was “okay” for the infant to be on the floor because employees did NOT wear shoes in the infants room. The infant room was also understaffed and Raneet casually excused it by saying it was “a Monday.” I emailed Raneet (the franchise owner) about my concern of the teacher holding a baby with one arm and she never responded. I decided not to enroll my infant. I noticed my son who was in their afterschool program no longer wanted to go. He would ask me to pick him up as soon as the bus arrived. At one point he said he always had different teachers which is ironic because you choose to enroll your children in daycare to avoid random people caring for your child to give them stability. Some days my son was picked up in the Primrose bus, some days in cars. His sign in was never accurate because I guess they didn’t know how how to check him in since he was coming from school. For example, when I would sign him out, he was never signed into the building so me signing him out actually signed him in. My teenage son picked Merisio up in the last few weeks. Raneet asked where we lived and offered to drop him off at home. On the day of a thunderstorm and pending inclement weather I called to inquire if she could just bring him straight home after picking him up due to the weather. I was placed on hold. Raneet picked up and after hearing my voice she put me back on hold without responding. Ten minutes later she gets back on the phone and after I ask she tells me they would not be picking up from schools because the schools were telling parents to pick up kids. I told her the schools were not and asked why didn’t she notify me if she was unable to pick my son up. At this time it was midday. After I told her I could not leave work last minute she told me “I can pick him up. That’s all I can do.” That’s what she was supposed to do. After I called there were notifications on several different platforms including email, the Procare app, and text. These notifications could have been sent out earlier as the weather was not a surprise. Advice to Raneet, the owner: Treat ALL parents with the same courtesy and respect. They are all trusting you with precious lives that cannot be replaced and should be mentally, emotionally, and physically protected while under your care. Treat the children as if you want your own children to be treated. I’m not entirely sure if Primrose doesn’t provide business planning or if structure is just not being utilized. You need to hire someone with an operations background to avoid the unnecessary missteps and inconsistencies you can easily avoid by being proactive instead of reactive.
Overall I had a great experience at Primrose Sandy Spring South. My son started around 6mths and we left just recently due to a move. He learned so much through out his time there. I'm so amazed at how much he knows already for his age. He's already speaking so well and it amazes me to see his progress. The teachers are definitely doing there job. The facility is clean, the teachers are amazing with keeping you updated with there progress throughout the day, the front desk are always helpful and willing to assist with anything. The facility is controlled access. You must enter your code to enter the building which was a plus for me. The classrooms are organized and well kept. I love the many events they have through out the year for the children. The owner Mrs. Raneet is amazing and cares about the school and the quality of care your child receives. I came to her with concerns and she was always willing to fix anything or correct any issues that was there. Super sweet and always willing to help you anyway she can. Thank you :)
