Overall great experience. Our kid loves going there every day. Kids are having a great diverse day. Between signing, playing, there is always made time for development milestone teachings. Would definitely recommend Lightbridge.

I’m extremely disappointed with the way my 3-year-old son’s experience ended at this school. While I had a great experience years ago with my oldest son when the school had just opened, things have definitely changed for the worse. There were multiple red flags during my son’s time there. I witnessed children going back and fourth tugging over toys due to a clear lack of resources for them to share. My son frequently came home with a dried, crusted nose, and on one occasion, his nose was bleeding—likely from being left uncleaned all day. I also noticed other children with visibly runny noses during pickup, especially in the winter months, which raised concerns about overall hygiene and attention to the kids’ needs. Despite this, my child loved his teacher, who truly did an amazing job, and I was trying to let him finish his final few weeks before transitioning to a new school with his older brother. Unfortunately, this school decided to send my son home and deny him entry over a $20 late fee that was on my account. I was told he couldn’t return until I brought the $20 in cash. That decision told me everything I needed to know about their priorities. Instead of showing compassion or understanding—especially knowing he was on his way out—they chose to focus on money over a 3-year-old child’s well-being and education. I didn’t feel comfortable sending him back after that, and it was honestly heartbreaking to end things that way. It felt like my son was treated like a transaction, not a child who had built bonds with his teachers and classmates.

Lightbridge Academy has brought so much joy and happiness to my family and I! I could not have asked for a better school/ center for both of my girls. To have my youngest and oldest at the same center at once was such a blessing! Being a parent in the military is hard as is. I’m so glad this school works with military families through the MCCYN program because the owners, staff, teachers, curriculum, atmosphere and their PURPOSE has made this lifestyle so amazing easy for my kids and I. My kids and any kids are soooo safe here! Thank you lightbridge!!

Love this school! The front office staff and owners are always so warm and welcoming. They truly know and love the children. We have had a phenomenal experience here. Any minor concerns or issues that I have ever had have always been addressed and taken care of appropriately. My children’s teachers’ have always been proactive communicators & engaged and enthusiastic caregivers/educators. Knowing that my kids are in good hands is priceless. Highly recommend.

Lightbridge Academy in Virginia Beach was so amazing, not only to my son, but to my family. As soon as you walk in the door, you are always greeted with smiles from everyone in the front office. It feels good to start your child's day (and also your own!) that way! My son started at Lightbridge at 10 weeks old. Of course as a new mom, I was scared to be leaving my baby with someone else, but when we found Lightbridge, it just felt right. i knew my son would be safe and well cared for. Throughout his three years there, we watched my son develop an amazing vocabulary, a love for learning and books, and flourish socially. We had peace of mind with the cameras in the rooms and we always received a full report, with picture, of what my child experienced each day. We loved to be included in what he was learning during his day at school so that we could share that experience and continue learning at home. Communication was great and we always felt like we had open communication with his teachers and the administrative staff. We only left Lightbridge due to a change in job location and it was one of the hardest decisions I ever made to switch my son to a school closer to our home and work. We loved it so much! I can't thank Lightbridge teachers and administrative staff enough for being such a big part of my son's life. I will forever be grateful for his experience there!
