This KinderCare is simply amazing, the staff is very attentive to the children and their needs. My daughters have been to two previous daycares and I’ve had problems with both, this is the first daycare center I’ve felt comfortable with dropping my daughters off without fear of incident. They make sure they let you know how your child’s day went and knowing all children are different, they take time to learn your child individually. They’re knowledgeable on children’s development. There are always fun activities for the children to do! They really do overall have an amazing staff and management.
I honestly really like this daycare. I was in a little bit of a bind to find childcare since I was just starting a new job but i didn't want to rush into anything I didn't feel comfortable with. From the first moment I walked in i felt really at ease, everyone was really welcoming. I visited the toddler area and felt really at ease with the size of the space, the activities, the colors, etc. There was no pressure to enroll and they encouraged us to read their brochure and visit their website. My baby seems to enjoy there and he also has structure throughout the day. Parents can get a daily report of how the children do with food, naps, activities, etc. I am happy and my baby is happy, I feel at ease at work knowing he's being taken care of by the amazing ladies in his classroom.
Kindercare is our second home, my kids are well loved here. The staff is amazing, the interactive app lets me see what my babies are doing while I’m at work. The ability to choose fun art classes in the summer and phonics classes during the school year makes learning fun all year around. The fact that my kids wake up and want to go to school is a big win for me.
This location is terrible and traumatized my children. Tiana is the new center director and she pretends to be sweet and concerned about the well being of the kids but she is not. The staff and her are not on the same page when it comes to communication at all. She is passive aggressive in her communication unnecessarily. They have had much staff turnover in the 3’s class for the last 3 months. The current 3’s teacher told me out of her mouth she didn’t have time to prompt my son to use the restroom because she was “adjusting” to managing the class solo. Tiana makes decision for what serves her staffing shortages without having conversations with the parents and then coerce the teachers to present a problem to the parent to support a decision she has made. I’m grateful I’m not forced to have my children in care at this location. I have filed a complaint with corporate and the regional director. My children have been disenrolled. Save yourself the heartache and take your children anywhere but this location.
I've been sending my kids to the Kempsville KinderCare since 2017 and they've been great. All of the teachers have been professional and caring for my kids and have great curriculums for the classes. They (and the directors) have always immediately called/texted me back whenever I've had specific questions during the day, and/or made time to talk when I arrive for pick up. Through the app, I get pictures and videos throughout the day of my daughter having fun in her Pre-K program. Also, the hours of operation greatly accommodate my working schedule.
