I came here for a tour & there were about 20 kids in one room with two teachers. I canceled my tour & left immediately because do the way the teacher with pink hair was talking and clapping her hands at a CHILD. So unprofessional& a terrible first impression.
We were sad to leave this daycare due to being stationed elsewhere. They treated our son as if he were family. My son has ADHD, the staff here was amazing with him. Some of the teachers taught him coping skills when he would get overwhelmed. They also gave him responsibilities which he loved. He went to this daycare for a little less then 4 years and if we get stationed back in VA Beach I pray they have availability!
I'm very skeptical about who watches my child especially because this was her first time attending daycare. I decided to go with just for kids because it was very close to my job and I wanted to be able to stop in unannounced periodically. it makes me feel very comfortable that everyday I get a detailed report telling me how my daughters day went. All of the staff is very friendly. I think they could tell I was nervous about leaving my daughter so her teacher actually sent me pictures while I was at work of her threw out the day. I will not be going anywhere and feel very blessed I have found them.
My children have attended this daycare for the past 4 years. The staff is very friendly and very concerned with the children's care and education. My son graduated from their pre-k program a couple years ago, and he was more than prepared to go to kingergarten. I have a toddler daughter who's mood vary and goes from sweet as pie, to screaming, tantrum throwing wild child, and through all of her emotions, they handle her with care and ease. I would recommend this daycare to any of my friends and family, because at JFK, they have exceeded my expectations and make my children feel like their own family.
Do not bring your children to this daycare, they are unequipped they do not know how to do their job. They complain every day and they have no structure. Several teachers have quit for the same reason. My children did not like going either. They make it seem like children are so problematic because they are untrained.
