What Parents Say
Destiny Christian Academy receives mostly positive feedback praising staff kindness, engaging activities, cleanliness, and child development. However, two negative reviews cite serious safety concerns including unreported injuries, inadequate supervision, and poor management responsiveness to parent needs.
My grandson had 5 bite marks in under 2 months (one not recorded that was passed off as a bruise) He got pushed off his cot at nap time by another child and hit his head, causing a large goose egg and bruise. Staff did not contact his parents , saying they thought Sarah called. On top of that they let him take a nap after this. No Director at the moment, staff is unprofessional. They say that you are able to look at video to see your child through the day…. No. They are on probation already, maybe it’s time to be shut down until they get better instruction on how to care for children and their equipment fixed.
I am so grateful to send my children to Destiny everyday. Every staff member is kind and works hard to provide engaging lessons, fun activities, and structured play. The teachers go above and beyond to keep us informed. We often get daily pictures and my children are always so happy!
My niece goes to this academy. I have noticed so much growth and development during the duration of her attending Destiny Christian Academy. She is really blossoming and enjoys the environment. The staff there are attentive, kind, and professional. When picking her up from school I am always acknowledged and prioritized. If you are thinking about an academy to take your child, I highly recommend you consider taking him/her here.
They used to care, work with me, I felt like my money was well spent. If you ask them to bend, just a little they won’t. They will take all your money but they won’t work with you. It’s sad really, used to love it here. They always worked with us and seemed to really value and care about my kid and they wanted him there. Now it seems to have completely changed. Management, I think? Unfortunate, really. I was even told that when I communicate a shift change or need, that they’d be willing to work with me since I’ve had this issue before. They told me they would, then lied and refused to let him in even though I’VE already paid. Needless to say, if you need someone who values you, your money, or your time... this may not be the place. If they say they will work with you.... we’ll, they don’t really. You better be there on THEIR time and follow THEIR rules or they, quite frankly, just don’t care.
Used to be amazing, unfortunately due to almost constant change in staff the past 2 years quality continues to decrease. Unprofessional, unreliable, unsafe, staff constantly on cellphones while the 3 and under kids are outside. Making children line up in the hallway by the door at or before 5pm when certain people are working, staff disrespectful to kids, CLAIMS TO HAVE VIDEO--NO ONE THERE CAN GET YOU THROUGH THE APP OR HAS ACCESS TO RECORDED VIDEO!! Destiny used to be great, now its worse daily, I would not recommend at all. Especially after hearing a member of the staff yell at my child while I was on the phone. it's a shame really, supposed to be faith based....now it just says christian in the name.
