My daughter attended this school about 3 years ago. She still talks about how Barbara (the director) accused her of taking something from the mailbox while the students were in line. She is now older and talks of how mean Barbara is. In retrospect , I see the interaction must've been more than I assumed at the time. Barbara does not have a pleasant disposition at all. My daughter had HARD CANDY in her mouth from a gift bag she received at the school. The candy was from another parent not the center but I did not know the candy was in my childs backpack. I asked that she would give notices to all parents not to ever send hard candy. She eventually did but she clearly did not like me suggesting it to her considering she thinks she knows it all. Very bad attitude BUT I must say my child was prepared for kindergarden as far as LEARNING goes.
My child attended this daycare for almost 3 months. Everything was fine until I began questioning anything that happened during the day, as if I have no voice at all. I'm not sure who they are accustomed to dealing with but if I have a question about the well being of my child I am entitled to inquire. 1) My child's entire face was nasty from a runny nose (the snot was dry and all over his face at this point). I asked if his nose had been running all day and the Daycare worker shrugged her shoulders. 2) I asked how much interaction my 1 year old child has with an older child in the daycare setting and the daycare director totally flipped out and walked off. Very unprofessional. 3) I picked my child up and he was wearing the same red bib from earlier that morning. It is now wet and soiled which stained his white shirt. I asked the daycare worker why was he wearing the same bib and her response was she didn't know. Its obvious that they did not check his bag because he had 2 extra bibs in there. My 1 year old walks to the door and grabs a glade plug in out of the socket. I took it from him and threw it on the floor because it should not be there anyway. SAFETY HAZARD! If they cleaned/sanitized the place up consistently they would not need the plug ins at the door and my baby would not have caught foot, hand, mouth disease. I am pissed at this point. Two business days later the director confronts me about the conversation with the other employee. She was very rude and unprofessional as usual. Ms. Barbara stated that they took the bib off after lunch and placed it in a baggie and put it back on him later. (instead of getting a new bib out of his bag) I inquired about the two week notice. She stated that I could put it in now (Tuesday, May 15) and she would not charge me for the 2 weeks. She then went on to say I can take him now if I want to. Really lady! As if I didn't have to go to work. I immediately told her to go get my baby, they gathered all of his things and we left. I had plenty of red flags prior to May 15th. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because it was his first daycare setting and he absolutely loved it! 2-3 weeks prior to the last incident, my child cried every time we entered the building. My plans were to take him out but I had only 2 weeks left of school. I would not recommend this daycare to anyone if your child is not old enough to talk. I do not know what they were doing to my child. Half of his lunch was left in his bag and he was starving every time I picked him up from daycare. The center does not have cameras but its odd that they are able to see the cars pull in because I witnessed a child waiting up front for her Mom prior to her coming in and signing her out. Please look else where if you are considering this center.
Love this daycare and my daughter loves it as Well! Everyone is so sweet and caring!
