What Parents Say
Parents overwhelmingly praise CHILDTIME 1001 for its caring, communicative staff and warm environment. Recent leadership changes have been well-received. One parent reported significant staff turnover in the toddler room that affected their child's experience.
My child recently started & being my first I was apprehensive about putting her in daycare, but our experience has been great so far. The teachers & administrators are all very kind & communicative. They keep us updated throughout the day, even just pictures of her having fun. We are all around happy!
I love this Childtime location! My son has been here for almost 10 years, from the baby room to school age. Throughout the years my son has had some of the most amazing teachers. Teachers that have genuinely loved my guy. I’ve always felt heard, any concerns always handled. Special thank you to the staff, my son and I love yall.. Ms. Tina, Ms. Christina, Mr. Joey, Mr. Jason, Ms. Zaine, Ms. Mary and Ms. Iliana! We have a new director Ms. Vivian and she made a wonderful first impression 🩷 thanks for being awesome guys!
I had a very disappointing experience with this daycare, primarily due to poor communication, lack of accountability, and what felt like a strong focus on money over the well-being of the children. For the entire time my child attended, I was under the impression—based on what was communicated to me—that my monthly copay was $44 and my over-the-market fee was $100. At no point was I informed that my monthly copay was actually $174 or that my weekly responsibility was $129. This was never clearly explained or documented to me. In mid-December, I questioned a balance of nearly $600 showing on my account. I specifically asked Tina about it and was told that the balance was for social services to pay and that it simply needed to be corrected. After that conversation, no one followed up with me, and I was never told that the balance was my responsibility. In early January, when I attempted to make another payment and noticed the amount was unusually high again, I raised the issue. Only then was I suddenly told that the balance was mine and that my copay was much higher than what my caseworker had explicitly stated in writing ($43 for November, $43 for December, and $116 for January). When I tried to show Vivian the email from my caseworker to clarify the discrepancy, there was no effort to review it or work with me. Instead, I was immediately told that my child could no longer attend. There was no attempt at resolution, discussion, or compassion—just a quick decision that felt purely financial. Additionally, my child was scratched by a teacher while in their care. Rather than taking responsibility or addressing staff conduct, the situation was brushed off and implied to be my child’s fault for “climbing on tables,” which was extremely concerning and unprofessional. Overall, I did not feel that this daycare prioritized clear communication, partnership with parents, or child safety. My experience left me feeling that finances mattered more than the children themselves. I would strongly encourage other parents to ask very detailed questions, get everything in writing, and proceed with caution.
I love Childtime, now! it's been amazing, ever since Miss Tina took over and turned the place around. It was a rough transition but she did amazing at easing everyone through it and making the place feel like a home
When we first started at ChildTime it seemed to be a great place. We had an excellent teacher and our daughter was about 16months old. Once we moved to the 2yr old class it was a different teacher what felt like every other day. In our less than 1yr time at this location we had 7 teachers. SEVEN. The turn over is insane however, I can understand with the current management. Tina and Jason are more than you could ask for with friendliness, understanding and honesty. We had some really great teachers and as soon as our daughter would get use to them, they would be switched to different classes or left the center all together. These issues were brought up at the local level with the current director, Miranda. They were also brought to her managers attention, Laura. So when the person who reads these reviews states she/he is happy to have the feed back and to contact corporate.. this shouldn’t be the last straw for parents. They shouldn’t have to leave the center for someone to listen. The concerns should be addressed at the local level and if that can’t happen then someone needs to look into who they hire as ‘directors’ and the turn over they have beneath them. All options were exhausted in communication with people at this center and therefore the only option was to unenroll.
