I am extremely disappointed in the care my son received at this daycare. My son is 6 months old and started attending when he was 3 months old. Since he began, it has been one issue after another. When I pick him up, he is often dirty—his nose is unclean, milk is dried around his mouth, and he smells like spoiled milk around his neck. I provided all required items such as wipes and extra clothes, and I specifically asked that my son be sent home in the same condition I drop him off. I was told this would be addressed, yet it continued. He has repeatedly come home with food on his clothes and smelling unclean. There have also been multiple unexplained injuries. One day, my son had a scratch under his eye, and staff stated they did not know how it happened. On another occasion, he had a red mark on his eye and the side of his face, and again, no explanation was provided. My son has also been sick with a sinus infection for almost three months since starting this daycare. When I asked a simple question about whether the building is checked for mold—only to try to rule out possible causes—I received a phone call from the owner stating that they were discontinuing care effective immediately. This call came at 2:15 PM, and my daughter gets out at 2:30 PM. I was also told they would no longer pick my daughter up from daycare. This was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. This daycare does not provide advance notice when they close—you only find out when you arrive. The facility is overcrowded, has an unpleasant odor, and appears to exceed acceptable teacher-to-child ratios. The owner previously operated two daycares and merged all children into one building, making the classrooms congested. Parking is also an issue, as there are not enough designated spots, forcing parents to park at neighboring businesses. I support Black-owned businesses, but I cannot support this daycare. Asking reasonable questions about my child’s health should not result in retaliation or immediate termination of care. While this situation was upsetting, it feels like a blessing in disguise. I truly hope my son’s health improves now.
My Granddaughters have been going to bblc for the past 3 years and we love it so much. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, they make it feel like a family environment. Their preschool class really helped prepare my oldest granddaughter for kindergarten. It’s a wonderful school.
great school never Once had a complaint here, my daughter has been going her about 3 years now they’re very good at communicating and doing fun things with the children. shes always well taken care of as well!
My daughter is in the Todd’s classroom now and enjoys going to class. She has learned so much since being in Todd’s. I just want to give a shoutout to Ms. P for making me feel at ease with her moving up to the Todd’s classroom!
I have been with BBLC for almost 2 years. I have enjoyed this center so much. My baby had hearing and developmental delays. The management and staff were very supportive and understanding. They communicate my childs needs. The prices are fair. The center is clean. The food is healthy. They remind you of what you need. That's great for a busy momma like me. I feel like the staff and management are supportive family for my family. Smiles every morning and afternoon.
