If you want the most recent review, read this! Yes, they are affordable but it comes with a price. Tour was great to begin with, nice and welcoming. But after I signed the contract I started to get weird energy from Trina and Jordan; both the directors for no reason at all. I’ve been nothing but respectful and understanding. Jordan - has a nasty attitude and acts like you’re dumb when you are genuinely curious about something. They don’t respond to any of your emails or phone calls UNLESS it benefits them, so don’t expect this place to be responsive. I was promised photos of my child on the day care app - I’ll tell you right now, you will NOT get photos, you get a brief message every night around 6pm-8ish about your child’s activity, what they ate and diaper changes. This has also been confirmed by other parents I know who left this day care as well. You cannot contact the teacher if you need to talk to them directly, they all leave at a certain time around 3ish-4:30pm. So you’re really just left with the volunteers who are however - the sweetest and nicest people you can actually smile and conversate with. You are required to buy a certain type of diaper for this place, but little do they know not every child can wear the same diapers, they take no allergies into consideration. You can tell the directors here are clueless and are inexperienced with divorce parents so if you’re divorced and even presented the COURT ORDER signed by the judge themselves - don’t expect these directors to know or how to go about it. You would think that if you’re running a day care people in this field would know how to handle such situations. My child only lasted a month here let that tell you everything you need to know.
We cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with YMCA childcare! From the moment our son started attending, we’ve been consistently impressed by the caring staff, the safe and nurturing environment, and the thoughtful programming designed to support children's development. The team at the YMCA goes above and beyond to make every child feel welcomed, valued, and encouraged. Our son comes home every day excited to tell us about what he learned, the fun activities he participated in, and the friends he’s made. It's clear that the staff genuinely care about the well-being and growth of every child. Thank you, YMCA, for being such an amazing part of our son’s early years—we are truly grateful!
We have had a fantastic experience with the childcare program at the YMCA. The staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and always creates a safe, fun, and engaging environment for the children. My child looks forward to going every day, which says a lot about the quality of care provided. The directors, Jordan and Trina, are organized and responsive, making communication easy and seamless. It’s reassuring to know that my child is not only well cared for but also learning and growing in such a supportive space. I highly recommend the YMCA childcare program to any parent!
My husband and I have been extremely satisfied with the care our kids have received at the Eagan YMCA. We have 2 little boys (who are often times a handful) and the teachers go above and beyond to provide what they need and show them love and attentiveness. The teachers are joyful and seem to really love the kids and what they do. They provide multiple enrichment opportunities (bounce house days, water days, school carnivals, butterfly releases, in addition to taking the kids swimming every other week!) While making daycare fun and enjoyable, they also do a lot of social emotional learning and reinforce independence, which has really helped my older son. They communicate well and I feel comfortable reaching out if I had any concerns. I would recommend this childcare center to anyone.
We have had a great experience with the YMCA ECLC so far and would recommend if interested!! My son has been enrolled for 3 years now and we receive regular feedback and check ins from his teachers. They listen to concerns and willing to work with you regarding eating habits, potty training, nap routine, etc. They have a great curriculum and schedule they stick to with longer hours.
