My daughter absolutely loves coming everyday to school and loves seeing all her friends and teachers! The director and assistant director are both fantastic and extremely helpful and are prepared to answer any questions I might have! The infant teacher is so energetic and clearly loves her job! The toddler teacher is so patient with the kids and is loved by all her kids! The preschool/school age teacher is incredible with teaching her class and is fantastic with child with difficult behaviors!! Overall, this location is doing an amazing job despite all the difficulties it's been through since the start of the year!! Also, the summer camp field trips and activities are so much fun for all ages!!!!
I appreciate Julie, she always Greets me with a Smile, she looks, after my son, the word Kind is an understatement, she listens to my concerns. she has a positive attitude she treats everyone with Respect. Her positive Energy is a Joy to be around!
When I first toured this kindercare I was a little skeptical. However the center has been taken over by a new director (Julie) who we absolutely love. She has turned that center around tremendously. My family came from a different childcare center. My 4 year old who was 3 at the time had a hard time at the other center and had been kicked out of the center. She had been at the center since an infant and never ever had an issue until she was moved up to the prek classroom. The decision to enroll her here at kindercare was the best decision ever! She is now always excited and happy to go to daycare and has had none of the same issues that she had at her previous center. The teachers are amazing and really care about the kids. I have no worries when dropping my children off at kindercare. I know that they are in great hands!
A part of me believes the positive reviews are coming from teachers themselves or friends of the director. We started mid-August and we are already pulling our son out. First red flag was the fact that my son hates going and will cling on for dear life when we drop him off. He has loved his former daycares. He loved playing with other kids and the activities, so it's been quite odd that for the past 6 weeks he has had big emotions whenever we drop him off. 2nd red flag was when the assistant director (Julie) called stating we did not drop off his Epipen (when in fact we did). She was very unfriendly and almost condescending about it. After further pushing, they realized that the teacher put the EpiPen in the wrong place. Keep in mind on our first day, Julie was not there. It was just the one teacher who had to look after the kids and help us with the initial set up. Leaving us (the parents) to supervise the kids for a brief moment while she ran somewhere to get paperwork. Instead of Julie calling to apologize, she had the teacher apologize. 3rd red flag was when out of nowhere, my biracial son started calling himself "a nappy boy". 4th red flag that also leads to the final, my son came home twice stating that he hit his head. We never got an incident report. The first time, Julie acknowledged he fell and blamed the teacher for not writing an incident report. The second time, they denied anything happening at all. Then today, my almost 3-year-old clearly said a teacher hit him on the head and arm. I was shocked. I asked if it was an accident or if she was mad. He replied, "mad". Then I asked who hit him and he responded stating it was Julie. When I called to tell Julie about it, she casually said that they were going to have a staff meeting about it. Then I told her that he said it was her. Then her whole tone changed, and she became agitated. She did not seek out any information and it didn't seem like she took my concerns seriously at all. I wished we would have trusted our instincts sooner. I did see there was a maltreatment case on the DHS licensing web site. I asked about it and all I was told is they got all new employees. I would not trust this place with your child. Another thing to note is the teachers in the toddler class are also watching their own children, so I'd imagine it's very difficult for them to work without preference. Editing to add that whenever we have to drive past this place, my son will say "that's where the teacher hit me". It's been 2 years and he still remembers and can now talk about it clearly. This place needs to be investigated.
I am fostering and switched my foster son to KinderCare North for the location and because it is a 4 star, accredited center. I couldn't be more pleased with our experience here! All of the teachers and both directors have been more than accommodating with our situation. They are very in tune to my son's needs and provide wonderful learning experiences in a safe, happy, fun environment! I am so glad we joined this center and I will be transferring all of my future foster babies here because of how amazing, helpful and encouraging the staff has been. Thank you Bridget, Jen and staff! I am so thankful that I get to work with you all!
