Positive reviewers praise the facility's amenities, play-based philosophy, and personalized attention, while negative reviewers cite uneducated staff, safety incidents involving improper student placement, and unprofessional management.
Coaching at Tuckaway Harbor is something our coaches look forward to every week! The staff is so kind and supportive of our coaches and the students are amazing! We love teaching them soccer.
Tuckaway does not even deserve one star! I'm a former employee. I eventually went on to teach kindergarten... This place was horrible! The teachers were uneducated! And all they cared about was making money off of the children's parents! Do not go here. Please if you do care about your children!
Tuckaway has been a wonderful experience for my little boy. He has been there since an infant and will be graduating preschool from there in June. I know that when I drop him off, that he will be well treated and good care will be given to him. The staff are polite and friendly. They have an amazing playground and many activities for the children. My only complaint is the cost. They just raised the price, and I'm not very happy about that. They have a pool and teach the children how to swim. I really like their philosophy about the importance of play.
I absolutely love Tuckaway-Harbor! Mrs. Sheema in the infant class is so sweet and so great with my son. I don’t worry when he is there. They are great at giving updates on what’s going on that day. I’m so thankful for my Tuckaway-Harbor family!
My kids were going there after school and they never came home with any homework done. They just have the children outside playing until pick up. My daughters often complained about being outside in all kinds of weather. My biggest issue is the fact that my children were not in the place they were supposed to be. I was under the impression that my children would be going to tuckaway and the bus driver kicked my kids off the bus and left them at the school. The director whose name is Nicki, told them to leave my children at the school without informing me, over a matter that had nothing to do with payment and a matter that was under control. I even called other parents to see if Tuckaway handled the exact same matter the same way with the other children only to find out that Tuckaway was profiling me and/or my children. I'm not sure if its because I am African american or if I'm a young single parent. I dont think there is any reason to kick children off a bus and leave them at the school if it isn't about payment issues or behavior issues. After the incident I removed my children immediately because they were nice-nasty with me and had no remorse for their actions. They acted as if they wanted my children out and leaving was doing them a favor. Hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else.
