As a father I’ve reached out multiple times hoping to resolve real problems, but management keeps shrugging them off. Two years in, staff keeps quitting—already on our third principal. Biggest red flags? Letting him ride without proper car seat, even after I pointed it out. In twenties-degree cold he went without hat or gloves—no heads up. When he complained about being hot and threw up twice, thermometer sat unused and nobody called me. Emails about drop-off times? Wrong half the time, fixed never. Questions get vague answers or flat-out silence. Gate stays wide open during pick-up, sometimes no staff in sight—creepy. Small class, way ahead in work… first grade sheet still shows ‘satisfactory.’ Rules only apply when they feel like it. He likes the place, that’s literally the only reason this review gets two stars. Principle & District Supervisor knows—does zip. Parents deserve respect, honesty & transparency.

We are beyond grateful for the incredible experience our twins had at the Merit School of Prince William, where they attended both PreK and Kindergarten. The level of care, education, and support they received truly exceeded our expectations. A special shoutout to Ms. Phillips, their Kindergarten teacher, who is nothing short of outstanding. She has a remarkable ability to prepare young learners academically and emotionally for the next step in their educational journey. Her dedication and passion for teaching shine through in everything she does. We also want to recognize Principal Wright, who brings energy, warmth, and a clear vision for excellence to the school. Her leadership has created a nurturing and inspiring environment where both students and staff can thrive. Thank you, Merit School, for being such a foundational part of our children’s early learning experience!
