Ahh, we love this daycare! My son has been going there since he was about three months old. He was born premature, but thanks to this daycare, he was able to catch up in weight, developmentally, and physically. The staff is incredible and always there to help! The daycare's communication is awesome, and I enjoy getting pictures and updates every day! Best part is, I work in the same building as the daycare, so it's extremely convenient. I can't thank Deborah and Tricia enough for all the hard work they have done to provide a safe environment for my child and his needs. Also, thank you to the teachers for having patience and understanding with children of all ages. I am truly grateful to have them all as part of my son's upbringing and life. Thank you again for everything! 🥰🙏 #Daycare #Childcare #Love #Gratitude #Family #Community #Support #Teachers #Development

We switched to Sugar Plums after a bad experience with a different childcare center so I was very concerned to make sure we chose a place that was better for our son. Our son was in two classrooms during his time there (one year--he turned one and started walking around the time they moved him up). The transition from one classroom to the other was quite easy because he had already been spending time in the older classroom before they transitioned him. All of the teachers in both classrooms were incredible. Early childcare providers have my undying respect for the physically and emotionally demanding work they do--and the teachers at Sugar Plums did it well and with a depth of patience and compassion that astounds me. Our son transitioned to eating solid foods while he was attending Sugar Plums--a transition that was wrought with anxiety for me, particularly because he isn't a great eater and he is a small kid so I worry about his weight. However, he consistently eats more at Sugar Plums that he does at home with me for whatever reason. It reassures me to know he is getting the nutrition he needs from the food we send to school even on days when he doesn't want to eat much at home. He also takes nice long naps at Sugar Plums, in both the crib and now the cot. I really appreciated the regular updates on food, sleep, and activities that the teachers somehow find time to send us throughout the day. Especially for pre-verbal children it makes the daycare experience so much less of a black box to us as parents. We are leaving Sugar Plums now only because we are making a residential move to a different city for employment reasons. I hope our son's new daycare will provide such a high quality of care.

Sugar plums has been an amazing Development Center for our little guy! Deborah is a kind person with great leadership skills and knowledge of her industry and child development. Our son has formed amazing bonds with his primary care taker Melinda who is a gem and she has become like family to our son. He has a few other favorites as well! Many thanks to the Sugar Plums staff and organization for being a place where we can entrust our sons daily care. I recommend Sugar Plums to anyone looking for care for infants and toddlers. They have a strong curriculum and have shown an ability to take feedback and use it to become a more effective organiztion; namely in the area of communication which is a key to trust! Thank you so much!

I was referred to this childcare through the LOCATE referral child care service from MOCO, I was told there was a spot for him and he could be accommodated. (He has a speech delay and is half way potty trained). I called the center, I spoke directly with the founder. Our conversation over the phone was a bit awkward as she acted not to know what I was talking about when I mentioned I was referred by LOCATE. After I explained and mentioned the most relevant information in regard of my son, I was offered to join an open house the nest day which I did. After attending the open house and once again stating that my son is autistic, he has verbal delay and is in the middle of potty training, (training has taken longer than usual given his diagnosis, yet a big improvement when he is capable to use the potty but unable to verbalize it yet. Mind you, this daycare website states they provide support to Special needs kids).I was told there was a half day space available and was offered to bring my son during recess to see how he would interact in the playground with other kids. Since is was Saturday and there were other parent doing the tour, I was told to call or email back to schedule the playground session. A couple of days later I called to schedule and was surprised with a "We only take kids who are fully potty trained, maybe after he is fully trained you can reach back". Very disappointing that someone who says to be fully prepared and educated would made me waste my time in this manner and on top of that suggest a short frame of time (few months) to fully potty trained an autistic toddler when many of autistic kids are not fully potty trained in years. I understand if he was older or if the center does not accommodate kids with special needs then do not advertise on your website that you do offer support. Also, the way that my time does not seem to be important and made us go through all this process, having hopes up to end up receiving this answer is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. We both know the real reasons why we were turned down, most centers claim to be inclusive and is just a front, there is no real inclusivity at all.

My now 15 month old daughter went to Sugar Plums for 3 month and we had a very unpleasant experience. -Probably the only positive thing was that her teachers were loving, but they had very little if any children related education. -The owner is very unaccommodating. More like this is the way it is, if you don't like it sorry for you. -The director is very cost driven, they only provide morning and afternoon snack. I have personally seen the director yelling at teachers for giving students too much waffle. She is trying to save on few dollars when you pay couple of thousands of $ in tuition. -Another way to make more money, is to divide one classrooms into two classrooms with a gate. My daughter was in one of these tiny rooms. It would break my heart seeing her wanting to join the other classroom from behind the gates. Also she was the oldest in her classroom and the owner wouldn't put her with other kids of her age. I could go on and on. I think I have made my point. This day care was very convenient to my work. But I am still very excited about our new daycare even thought it means longer commute!
