My parents, Carmen & Damien Betancourt - Villa, celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary. We joined the church back around 1968. My parents had bought a house on 2117 Clinton Avenue (between 180 & 181st street). They both moved back to Puerto Rico, where they bought their retirement home in Carolina, Puerto Rico.

I went to school at St. Martin of tours and and had a great education there. I'll never forget my teachers, sister Hellen Marie, sister Nora and Father Flynn. It was a great experience and I enjoyed Sunday mass.

I had 2 great teachers here. Ms. Aller and Ms. Vasquez. The other teacher Ms. Gori (2-1) was the most disgusting teacher I ever had. I hated that woman. She was beyond mean and nasty.

I've been going here for 40 years and I absolutely love it. The people are so warm and loving. We actually all feel like a big family.
