Riverdale Neighborhood House

We own a Mexican food truck company and Emma, the manager, invited us to be part of their community event. She was very polite and professional! The event was well organized and advertised, and families did really show up for her event! She even invited my kids and let them to be part of this beautiful day! I was very happy that I was able to support her community event ! I saw a lot of happy faces that day! Thank you for having us!

Since the administration change after COVID, I’ve noticed some differences at this pre-K that have been disappointing. The staff sometimes comes across as rude with parents, and the teachers can feel a bit cold and lacking empathy with the children. This is difficult to see, because in the past the school had such a warm, caring atmosphere. I believe young children especially need kindness, patience, and a nurturing environment to thrive. I hope the administration and staff can reflect on these concerns and work toward bringing back the welcoming, supportive environment that families and children truly deserve.

The head of project transcend was really ableist. Not offering disability accommodations and made me question why she is sensationalizing trans identities for a project as a cis white woman. They didn’t want to offer virtual options for those partially homebound to chairs. Unprofessional and rude!

Pool is fantastic! Love it here, chill vibe and relaxing, go visit sometime!
