What Parents Say
This is not a daycare center—it is the Seattle Municipal Court. The reviews appear to be misdirected submissions about court services, including experiences with weddings, jury duty, traffic tickets, and court hearings rather than childcare.
As a photographer, I’m here often — quietly moving through the hallways, catching the way morning light slips across concrete, or how reflections soften the sharp geometry of the building. And every time, I’m reminded why I love working here. The Municipal Court of Seattle has this calm, structured beauty that feels almost cinematic. Nothing loud, nothing excessive — just clean lines, gentle light, and a sense of order that photographs effortlessly. But what stays with me the most are the people. There’s a kindness here that you don’t expect from a government building — warm greetings, patient explanations, small moments of genuine care. Even on busy days, the staff make this place feel surprisingly human. Being a frequent guest, I notice the details: a quiet smile exchanged between strangers, someone helping without being asked, the soft pause before a thank-you. These are the moments I try to capture — the ones that make a place feel alive. I’m grateful for every visit. For the light, for the architecture, and for the people who make this space feel warm in its own minimalist way.
I come to this courthouse every other month to photograph couples getting married, and it’s always a great experience. Security is friendly and efficient, which makes getting into the building quick and easy. Ceremonies usually run on time, though occasionally there’s a slight delay if other couples are ahead. All of the judges I’ve worked with have been kind, professional, and make the whole process feel smooth and stress-free. One of the best features is the rooftop option—it offers a stunning view and makes for incredible wedding photos! The streets around the courthouse also provide a perfect city backdrop. The only downside is that parking can be a bit tricky to find. But overall, it’s a beautiful and memorable place to get married. (Sharing a few photo examples from the last wedding I shot here!)
Even 1 star is too much for this place. I called them about the hearing notice questions. First call attempt, the representative seemed very rude and indifferent to help out. The lady didn't seem to understand the question and hung up. Second time I called, a different representative answered and also didn't understand the question and seemed like they didn't even know what they are dealing with and about the process. It's ridiculous and am seriously concerned about their hiring process. At least hire people who understand the process and the questions that people are asking. All I asked was if it's okay to take a screenshot and scan the 71-11N form on the portal and they did not understand what that meant. It's crazy... and she called me I sound like a tech-savvy and hung up. If you don't understand what screenshot or scan is... then I don't think you are qualified to work as a representative to help civilians.
Came by to drop off papers and the staff was helpful and friendly, no wait. However, the security guy (Jason) was very rude, no 'hello' and was quite off-putting with his comment. I just mentioned the other court house had me put my papers, watch, and belt in the tray, so I was confused. But, I guess he assumed I was being defiant.
They now use surveillance camera to ticket you for barely blocking a crosswalk during rush hours of the terrible city traffic. Moreover, the address they provided for you to pay the fine is not deliverable by USPS! This forces you to pay online which includes a 5% fee. Totally corrupted court that punishes the middle class.
