The Mermaids Lagoon

If you’re looking for the Cadillac daycare experience, Mermaid’s is it! The staff are friendly and super-attentive with the kids. The menu is 10x better than what I cook at home. And the facility is clean and stocked with tons of activities. We sent our toddler there from age 5 months to 1.5 years and he absolutely thrived - smile on his face every day and always learning new things that we definitely didn’t teach him at home. We’re so grateful for his experiences at this center!

We truly wanted to love this daycare and initially had a good experience when we first used their backup care service. Unfortunately, things went downhill after that. On our most recent visit, our child was visibly upset at drop-off and received no comfort or acknowledgment from the teacher. At pick-up, we could hear the teacher yelling at our child, and she walked past us without acknowledging us until we stopped her to retrieve our child. Our child appeared frightened and withdrawn afterward, which was very concerning. We contacted management hoping for understanding or accountability, but were told they saw nothing wrong and that our child received the “best care,” with no apology or empathy. The lack of care and responsibility from both staff and management was deeply disappointing. We will not be using this center again and cannot recommend it to other families.

The team here is amazing, loving and accommodating. It’s hard being a first time parent and transitioning to day care and they were/ are very patient with our family adjustment. My child also has special needs and they have gone above and beyond to make sure he is taken care of. Highly recommend this group.
