My son attended for 4 years starting at 18 months old. He took to it right away with all the activities they do. We just loved everything about PMCCP. The learning through play, the field trips and nutritious food cooked on site , the teachers , and most of all the community that the market is a part of . I work in the market and it was so convenient to drop him off and work just steps away. All the teachers and staff were lovely and very knowledgeable. My son is still friends with a few kids 9 years later! They also do sliding scale which is really amazing . Highly recommend this place for your kids.
PMCCP feels like home - from the calm and cozy atmosphere, to the warm, delicious meals made daily in the kitchen, to the loving staff and teachers that see, respect, and celebrate each child's uniqueness. We feel safe and valued here.
Kind teachers have made my kid's transition to daycare so smooth. The space is beautiful and cozy and my daughter is thriving here. Highly recommend.
I truly couldn’t recommend this daycare/preschool more! It is a school I suggest enthusiastically to anyone I know personally looking for a daycare or preschool ! The staff are all so generous and warm and the teacher so in-tuned with our individual children, as well as informed and up to date on child development in general. It really feels like dropping my daughter off with family. Having studied teaching myself, and worked in other daycares, I am continuously impressed with Pmccp. Not only do the teachers stay with the class for 2 years in the younger classes, but also all staff have weekly meetings to review and discuss child development theories and practices (focusing on child-centered learning and play). My daughter only went 2 days a week and still learned so much each week! From new words & routines when she was younger, to helpful phrases and healthy etiquette when she was older. To be honest I learned so much from her on helpful phrasing & words, just from what she picked up in those two days. The teachers just genuinely love working with children and it shows in their unwavering patience with the kids and unfailing excitement to teach them! 🫶🏼 The next best part is that this amazing school is actually inside pile place market, which lends itself to such culture, and experience and opportunity for learning! And finally they accept various government assistance and have a sliding scale fee, which made it possible for a lower income family like us to be a part of this beautiful and wonderful school and never have to fear about the safety or wellbeing of our daughter while she was there! Oh and the food! They have amazing chefs for out littles who source much of their ingredients from the market itself! How cool is that. I’m pretty sure my daughter ate better in days she went to daycare haha 😋 All that to say, if you are searching for the perfect little daycare/preschool. Don’t waste your time looking elsewhere. This is the best one out there that will really make you feel at ease and part of a family 🫶🏼.
This is an amazing preschool and daycare. The staff and teachers care deeply about the children and provide a safe and warm place to learn and grow. I’m very happy with my decision to enroll my child here and saddened by the recent negative reviews by followers of a hate group that are not affiliated with this school.
