I was referred this school by a friend whose daughter goes there. At the time of enrollment I fully disclosed that my son has autism and brought his ABA therapist to talk to the caregivers and teachers about his condition and how it would work for him to go there. The school guaranteed that they could accommodate him. Unfortunately the class schedule is tight and no one had time to spent with him or didn’t want to follow the therapist recommendations on how to keep his unwanted behavior in check. I started to have daily complaints because they school wanted him to behave like a neurotypical kid, he was not included in class activities, and his peers started to correct him ( almost seems like they were instructed to do so)... it was just a few months and i can say it wasn’t a pleasant experience to see my son retroceding on all he learned with ABA. Unfortunately for neurodiverse kids this school in one star :(
Our daughter has been attending Rollingwood for the past three years. The teachers are wonderful and work well with the kids. We are pleased with the academics and social aspect this school has to offer. The grounds are very well taken care of and clean. I feel safe dropping off my daughter. For the last 4 years both of my daughters attended Rollingwood Academy, and I couldn’t be happier with quality of education they have received. I have been so impressed with the educational growth that even when public schools went to full day Kindergarten, I kept my youngest enrolled in Rollingwood’s Kindergarten program. The classroom environment and overall school atmosphere is so welcoming and friendly. I cannot say enough good things about the schools staff. I will forever cherish the memories this school has created for my family!
My family LOVES Rollingwood Academy! This is the second child we’ve sent here and we can’t say enough good things about the quality of this school. The staff is so friendly and the school itself has the best vibe as soon as you walk in. Both of my daughters love going to Rollingwood. The school itself is in an old Virginia Beach historic house and the “at home” feeling makes it the best environment for kids to thrive. I believe attending Rollingwood gave my children an educational advantage when they started kindergarten. ❤️
We have had an amazing experience at Rollingwood Academy. My daughter started at this preschool when she was 2.5 and is now 5 in the Junior Kindergarten program. We have loved all of her teachers and could not have imagined a better early education experience. She has grown and matured so much throughout her time at this school. My youngest daughter is 2.5 and just started at Rollingwood as well, she comes home everyday excited about her day, and I know that she is loved, learning, and is safe while she is away from me. Since starting at Rollingwood, we've moved and now live over 30 minutes away; we happily make the commute because the quality of education and the loving atmosphere that my kids get at Rollingwood is unparalleled and worth it.
