Oak Hills Church has truly been a blessing in my life. From the moment you walk in, you feel genuinely welcomed by the people. There is a real sense of community and love that makes it easy to feel at home. The worship is beautiful and uplifting, creating an atmosphere where you can truly focus on God and feel His presence. It’s meaningful, heartfelt, and inspiring every time. The pastors are another reason this church stands out. Max Lucado and Travis Eades teach with clarity, humility, and a deep love for God’s Word. Their messages are encouraging, practical, and grounded in Scripture, helping you grow in your faith and apply biblical truths to everyday life. Oak Hills Church is a place where faith, worship, and community come together in a powerful way. The word, the music and the people. Reaching people with Gods word and bringing them to baptism. There’s a feeling of love and enthusiasm. Travis and Max just reached me in a way that has opened my heart and my mind. There’s something for everyone. I also think we have a great music team. A great mix of traditional and contemporary.
Coming from recent events with family that attends this church: I’m writing this review out of genuine concern, not bitterness. Scripture warns believers to be discerning, as “false prophets come in sheep’s clothing” (Matthew 7:15) and “Satan disguises himself as an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14). Unfortunately, the teaching at this church reflects those warnings rather than the freedom of the Gospel. Messages often emphasize control, fear, and unquestioning obedience instead of humility, grace, and personal accountability before God. Forgiveness is taught without healthy boundaries, and Scripture is selectively used in ways that pressure rather than heal. Questioning leadership or doctrine is discouraged instead of being tested against the full counsel of Scripture. Galatians 1:6–8 strongly warns against preaching a distorted gospel, even when it comes from those claiming spiritual authority. Jesus never taught blind trust or spiritual coercion. A church should lead people closer to Christ, not into dependency on leadership. I encourage anyone considering this church to read the Bible for themselves and carefully discern what is being taught.
Very friendly and loving atmosphere filled with the love of Jesus and power of The Holy Spirit!! Praise and worship always on point and I absolutely love the fact that they take Holy communion every Sunday!!
