Lord of Life Child Care Center is awesome and I would recommend to my family and friends! It starts with the Director Ms. April, she’s shown great leadership and communication within the center and to me as a parent. The concerns and questions I’ve had were answered and explained. I felt heard and understood which is very important to me as a parent. For example, my family and I go by a strict dietary plan and she made sure to incorporate these items in our child’s meals and snacks. I greatly appreciate her and the staff for being inclusive and welcoming as we worked together to accommodate the changes that were made. Also, my child’s teachers are nothing less than amazing! Ms. Ericka greets me each morning and makes me feel as if I’m leaving my son with an aunt of my own. She’s very responsive to my questions on the brightwheel app and is patient with each child in her classroom. Ms. Dominique is another amazing teacher of my child and he loves her so much that she’s known as his second mom around the center. That alone makes me feel very secure and happy for my child to have them. These amazing women go above and beyond to communicate with me via through the app about my child’s day to day activities, diaper changes, meals, and circle time. I appreciate how hands on they are and the skills that are taught within their classroom. My child’s development is taking very seriously and that is shown by my child displaying these behaviors and skills at home. Overall, I leave a rating of 5 stars due to the importance of the center’s ability towards safety, leadership, creativity, and love being present. Thank you!

My children attend here and we ABSOLUTELY LOVE this center. It’s called a developmental center for a reason. They work with the children hands on with everything. My child is in the 1 year old class room and my 2 year old just got moved up from that class as well. We have never had an issue with them. They send out pictures and updates as much as they can. And they are very open with assisting with the parents with their children and showing different techniques. We have been here for a year and my daughter not only learned how to walk but she speaks in full blown sentences. My son who is in the 1 year old class with ms. Ricki and Ms. Dominque and be is a little behind developmental wise but they make sure he is never left out they take time with him even with his bad days. All the staff are amazing and very friendly. 10/10 would most definitely recommend. The Director April Williams is a phenomenal leader and she is taking this center in the way they need to go. I am excited about the growth!

First of the staff is incapable of taking accountability, if there where any issues or concerns fingers where immediately point towards the parents. My wife and I constantly felt like we where being judged. They also had issues with updating us on the application about when things like diapers changes were done. We where told about developments long after they had started so we could resolve them sooner. Multiple conversations with the director race was brought up by them, which is very unprofessional and uncalled for. My wife had also brought tp their attention staff members smelling g of cannabis and nothing was done. The teachers from my experience of this facility are fantastic. The management and direction of this facility is very poor. A great program starts with great leadership and I failed to see that here. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Budget prices, for budget child care.

**update/ read below** October 2021-Only reason I keep my child in this daycare is because it’s the cheapest and I can’t really afford to pay more than I already do. Majority of staff is rude especially current director, teachers/staff appear to be really rude to the afterschool kids too whenever I wait to pick up my child. Also a daycare that never bothers to check in on my child when theyre sick despite me being communicative? If they had a staff turnover that was more receiving and welcoming and not appear like they are in a bad mood majority of the time then I wouldn’t have an issue with this daycare. Sucks that someone recommended this daycare to me. June 2022 update I have kept my child at this daycare because their new director, April, is pretty awesome. I’m glad to say this daycare has gotten better thanks to her. The staff appear to be more welcoming which I am appreciative. I have changed my review from 2 stars to 4 stars.

To Christain Jackson, (in response to) As the Director of Lord of Life Child Development center, we aim to provide the best service to our small community of children and parents. My aim is to ensure that each child is safe and in their surroundings at the center are dedicated to preparing the children for next level life. When a child transitions into a new environment, it can be challenging and may cause anxiety. Our goal here, Lord of Our Life Development Center, is to provide the children with the necessary tools need to transition in and around our center. As I articulated to the wife of Mr. Jackson, we are unique in our processes as we foster your child into independence. We work based upon the developmental skills of each individual child’s need as each need of children aren’t universal. If there is a need, the staff along with myself, assist in meeting said need as we execute with an action plan, they aid in meeting the needs of each individual child especially those that possess behavioral issues. As we move forward, it is our hope that parents remain consistent with said action plans that are designed to fostering children into growth and development. As the director, my job requires an approach that encourages clear and concise communication practices with parents and of staff, to ensure a clear understanding remains the scope of all parties involved in your child’s growth process. As stated in previous messages located within the brightwheel app., my concern isn't the measures one uses to in parenting their child/children. Our main concern in any discrepancy, is to approach each with poise and professionalism, and not acting out of anger, emotion or frustrations. All may lead to misunderstandings and does not serve the best interest of the child. Mutual respect goes a long way in situations such as these, and it is concerning when parents choose to misdirect their frustrations. It has been previously stated, to please use professional and respectful communications when addressing staff and or other parent while on the grounds of this facility. Zero tolerance will remain to be the standard in place for all parties showing less than satisfactory behaviors. In closing, Policy states that as the director of Lord of Life Child Development, I may reserve the right to require the dis-enrollment of any child whose parents have become problematic, uncooperative, aggressive, dissatisfied or angry towards the staff, will have their services here terminated. It is unfortunate that the center didn't meet your standards. Thank you, and God Bless!
