Leport Schools - Reston

I often joke I am going to ask LePort to build me a house on school property because my toddler and I LOVE this school so much. He started in the infant room at the Potomac Falls campus (an equally wonderful campus) and is now in the Spanish immersion program at Reston. The director, the school manager, the teachers are all WONDERFUL. My son is so happy at this school, he is learning and growing so much, and I feel so much support from the school as a parent. In our modern society, very few of us are lucky enough to raise our kids in a "village" environment, but at LePort, it really does feel like we have a village helping us raise our kids.

Location! Location! Location! LePort Reston is at one of the best location you can ask for. It is located very close to intersection of Georgetown Pike and Route 7. So weather you work in DC, Maryland or Virginia or live in Reston, Herndon, Sterling or Great Falls commute to work is really easy from the school and back to home. I'm not one to write a review but I feel compelled to share my positive experience about this school because we've been so happy with our child's progress socially and academically. School has great teachers like Ms. AJ and Ms. Chandrani, and wonderful staff like Mr. Mike, Ms. Melissa Anne and Ms. Robin. When my daughter goes to school every day, teachers and environment is so great that she feels as if she is at home. This campus has been recently upgraded with new playground and other upgrades to the facility. All the classes are well diverse in terms of children’s nationality, gender and have best teacher to student ratio in the area. We are proud to be part of LePort community where parent and teacher work very close together and there is some kind of family event almost every other week. Other thing I like about this school is multiple campuses in NoVA which allows you to easily transition to another campus in case you relocate your house or change jobs.

We started our journey with LePort at their Potomac Falls campus where we fell in love with Ms. A.J. Allen in the Primary class. When the Potomac Falls campus was closed we made the decision to follow Ms. A.J. to the Reston campus. The campus is beautiful and we love the new Natural Playground! Our daughter had a very smooth transition to the new campus, and we felt very welcomed by Ms. Melissa Anne and Ms. Robin, and of course Mr. Mike who also came from Potomac Falls made sure we were taken care of. Our daughter has made new friends and loves the exciting in house field trips and experiences she gets to experience. LePort follows the Montessori teaching principles and our daughter is starting to read at age 3 and loves going to school to learn new and fun things daily; we have seen such growth from her in the 11 months she had been a LePort student.

LePort is a wonderful school that focuses on children's development. My son is in the Spanish immersion program and we are pleased with the amount of Spanish he is retaining. One of the best parts about LePort is that the parents who send their children to LePort are highly dedicated and involved in their child's academic and social-emotional development. All of the kids that attend the school are well behaved and the teachers are personally invested in ensuring that the children receive the best education.

My son is turning 2 and is in the toddler class at Leport Montessori with Ms. Desiree & Ms. Karolina. He truly enjoys going to class, and runs out of my arms directly into theirs each morning. He has learned a lot from his classmates and enjoys engaging with the older kids. Over the summer they have fun water days (which he loved) and pizza Fridays. Ms. Desiree is in constant communication with parents and I love getting her daily picture updates as well. Both Ms. Desiree & her assistant Ms. Karolina genuinely care and pay a lot of attention to each child. The administrative staff is also very kind and efficient. This is a very caring and friendly environment. Highly recommend.
