Our experience with RESCC has been nothing short of transformative. My daughter started in the Panda class in October 2023 at age three. As a "Covid baby," she was incredibly attached to us and wasn't yet potty trained. I was nervous, but she adjusted almost instantly. Thanks to the incredible patience and expertise of Ms. Mary and Ms. Sarai, she was fully potty trained—even through naps and bedtime—within just weeks. As a first-time mom, that level of support was invaluable. She eventually moved to the Bear class and then the Giraffe class (Pre-K gap). Each step of the way, she was met with a nurturing atmosphere that she still talks about fondly today. We recently moved out of state, and her new teachers are already commenting on her advanced reading and math skills. I give 100% of the credit to the staff at RESCC for nurturing those early milestones. A huge thank you to Ms. Leila, Ms. Mary, Ms. Sarai, Ms. Rozita, and Ms. Julia. You didn't just watch my daughter; you helped her thrive. If you are looking for a place that feels like family and prepares your child for the future, this is it!
I will be the latest 5 star review on top of this childcare faculty’s flawless record—which is unheard of by the way. In a previous position, I oversee the activities of a child development center so I was very discerning as I moved to the area. Their parent approval rate is perfect and their Virginia licensing inspection history is better than any other program out there. I looked for a long time to find this program. Robert E Simon does not do virtual tours to protect the identities of the children, which I appreciate, but if you come visit the program, you will feel the positivity. The teachers are happy and have been in their positions for a long time and the parents are extremely happy as well. Most importantly, as I walked into the infant room, I did not hear any wailing! This is a non profit program so they actually have more teachers per child than state requirements and break up the age groups in a very logical way to closer concentrate the developmental clusters. It’s incredible! They offer great rates, military and sibling discounts, and their tuition includes music, yoga, Spanish and all meals. Never pack a lunch again and bring your kids to best childcare facility in North Virginia. Special shoutout to the director—it’s her energy and attention to detail that keep this program moving so efficiently. It’s truly a special place.
If I could give The Simon Center 10 stars, I absolutely would! They've been incredible for my son. He transitioned from another daycare, and he’s truly thriving here. The staff is not only knowledgeable and kind but also incredibly thorough—they go over every detail during enrollment to ensure everything is tailored to your child’s needs. They’ve been so accommodating, and it means the world to us. Most importantly, HE loves going every single day. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE The Simon Center! :)"
My son and daughter (ages 4 and 2) attend the Simon Center and we could not be more pleased with our experience! Both of my kids transitioned to Simon Center from an in-home daycare when we moved to the area and the progress they have made so far has been amazing. My son will be in Kindergarten next year and there is no doubt in my mind that he will be more than ready. All of the teachers and staff are kind, caring, helpful, and go above and beyond in all that they do. The center offers lots of great programs including yoga, music and Spanish classes, book fairs, and fun dress up days, just to name a few. Communication is also made so easy via an app used by teachers/staff/families. Every day we get a message describing what our kids are up to as well as tons of pictures. I highly recommend the Simon Center to anyone looking for a high quality childcare center. We feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful and safe place for our kids!
I visited most of the daycare centers in Reston. Ultimately, I chose RESCC. The reason was very simple: all children looked comfortable and happy. Nobody looked as if they wanted to leave. I'm a teacher and that's the number 1 thing I paid attention to in every one of my visits when choosing a daycare. Months into dropping my baby girl every day and I can tell everyone genuinely like children. Teachers like their workplace. They take pride in doing a great job. And everyone is super welcome. To me, the cherry on this great experience was the day I saw a picture of one of my daughter's teachers took with baby girl because their Halloween outfits matched! She didn't have to. I love that meals (and formula) are included in the tuition. I love that I get quick updates when needed thru the Brightwheel app. I love their quick replies to my messages. I love how everything is clean and organized no matter what time of the day I come. And every time I get there, no children crying. They all look happily engaged in their activities. I love this place! We're planning to buy a house soon and all the logistics involve being close to the center. She will only leave when it's time for Kindergarten in public K12. So if you're on the fence about enrolling your child here, I'll say you can be sure she or he will be taken care of. Children's well being is at the core of this center. I couldn't recommend more.
