Our family is now sending our 3rd child to Holly Springs for daycare each day and have been very pleased with every child's experience. Our oldest is now 9 and still gets greeted by name and recognized when we pick up his younger sibling. We just graduated our 2nd this summer and she was more than ready for kindergarten. Even through the struggles with our very strong-willed, independent child, the school communicated with us and worked with us to help set her up for success during her difficult days/weeks. Our family has been very thankful for the care the staff provides for our children each day.
HSLC has been amazing for our family! They did a fantastic job preparing our 5 year old for kindergarten and our 2 year old is currently loving everyday to where she asks to go to school every morning. The teachers are very communicative and the staff are friendly and they all have done a great job working with my kids to build confidence and appropriate behavior. We have been at a few daycare facilities throughout the area due to moving and we have been so amazed by the love, care, and educational prowess of everyone at HSLC. Their facilities are clean, well decorated, and the family centered mindset is always on display whether through the friendly greetings or the family events they put on for the various holidays. Choosing HSLC was the best choice for our family!
Our experience with Jennifer, the director at Holly Springs Learning Academy (edit: Holly Springs Learning Center), has been extremely disappointing. After our child was sent home for behavioral issues, we sought help through the Project Enlightenment program and implemented the recommended interventions, which worked well. However, due to frequent teacher changes at the daycare, it felt like we were constantly starting over, having to reintroduce these interventions with each new teacher. Despite our efforts and the positive feedback we received about our child's behavior, Jennifer decided that our child was no longer welcome at the daycare. What’s worse, she never communicated this decision to us. Instead, she planned to kick our child out as soon as our other child graduated from the daycare. On the day of the graduation, without any prior warning or discussion, Jennifer informed us that our child could no longer attend, leaving us suddenly and unexpectedly without childcare. This lack of communication, transparency, and consideration was not only unprofessional but also incredibly stressful for our family. We deserved to be informed and given the chance to make alternative arrangements, especially given the positive feedback we received about our child's progress. Jennifer’s handling of this situation was very disappointing and untrustworthy. I would strongly caution other parents to think twice before entrusting their children to this daycare.
We love HSLC! We moved here from out of state and loved the “homey” feel of the environment inside and outside! Everyone has always been so kind and helpful and very good with communication! They always have fun events for the kiddos and families during the holidays which are an extra treat! We have had only good experiences!
