Our family is so happy Jess (the director is back) and Tate is back as well. Great communication from the leadership. The teachers are wonderful. They love and care about my kids like they are their own!
Our twins attended HSA for just over a year, and up until their last few weeks there, we probably would have given a 5 star review. They have some amazing teachers, who genuinely care about and work to connect with the kids. We did have a couple of instances where we did not feel comfortable about the way a situation was addressed, but were able to meet with the teachers and admins, and come away feeling like our girls' best interest was at heart. Unfortunately, after to moving to Junior Kindergarten 2, that changed. In the first 2 days we had several concerns about what felt like a teacher bullying my 4 yr olds. For example, one of the girls had a potty accident, which is completely normal in transitional periods. She told us she was made to go to "the baby room" and was called a baby. She still talks about how that made her feel. Our concerns were met with a rushed meeting about how that isn't what happened, and the teacher involved was very tenured. For the rest of that week we got no procare updates aside from check in or check out, and the teacher didn't speak to us at all. At that point we gave the requested 14 days notice, and planned to let the girls finish out that time with their friends. That was until they came home early in the last week talking about how Miss Shefali said she would miss them so much, but Miss Nia pointed to their names on the door and said she wouldn't miss them, and she was glad they were finally leaving because she didn't want them in her class. Anyone who can look at a 4yr old child and intentionally cause them that feeling of rejection and shame does not need to be around children.
We have been with HSA for years with my middle child. We absolutely loved the caring, loving, friendly feel. My youngest started last year and since then there’s been many disappointing changes. Directors both left, great teachers left, communication stopped, shifting classrooms all around. It’s not been a great experience so unless they change, I can’t recommend them.
Almost a year and a half ago, we transitioned our then four year year-old from a half-day school and in-home childcare. It was nerve-racking to move to a more structured environment, and I questioned how she would do in a new location. The staff at Holly Springs Academy made her transition seamless. They welcomed her with open arms, and have cherished every day of the last year and a half together we are sad to be leaving at the end of this month to get ready for kindergarten. Ms. Shannon and Ms. Cindy in Junior Kindergarten are absolutely incredible, loving, and excellent at caring for children. Ms. Jess and Ms. Megan, on the admin team, are excellent communicators, and advocates for the school. They take such great care of the children, staff, and parents. Highly recommend HSA to anyone looking for care in Holly Springs!!
We love our experience at HSA, Love Ms Helen Cannot say enough about the patience, love & grace show daily! I feel safe when I leave my child for the day and that is a good feeling! We get regular updates, pictures through the app. Overall, I’m happy with the school and it has a positive impact on my daughter’s growth and development.
