What Parents Say
Greenwood Molina Children's Center receives mixed reviews reflecting significant changes over time. Most recent positive reviews praise the staff's attentiveness, trustworthiness, and specialized care for children with special needs. However, older reviews report serious concerns including alleged inappropriate teacher behavior, staff inconsistency, operational unreliability, and a state-confirmed violation involving improper classroom discipline.
This daycare was excellent back when it was run by actual professionals—in the 1990s. Unfortunately, those days are long gone. All three of my children attended this facility years ago, and I repeatedly had issues with one teacher, Mrs. Yvonne, who seemed to have a habit of labeling children she didn’t care for as “aggressive.” When I requested video footage of the alleged incidents, the director later admitted my son was provoked by Mrs. Yvonne and her daughter (who also worked there as her assistant). Conveniently, the video I requested was never produced. He was placed in another class for the remainder of the year. Thankfully, it was my son’s final year. and I was more than happy to move on. Fast forward to today—my nephew now attends this daycare, and it’s almost impressive how nothing has changed. Same teacher, same behavior, same disregard for policy. Most of the staff appears to be related, which makes accountability… optional. Even the basics aren’t handled properly. Posted opening hours state 6:30 a.m., yet you never know if anyone will actually be there. Showing up at 7:10 a.m. to a locked building with no staff present is apparently just part of the experience now. Business hours seem to be more of a suggestion than a commitment. It’s disappointing to see a daycare with such a long history reduce itself to this level of unprofessionalism—especially given my family’s past connection to it. Parents, choose wisely. If you’re looking for favoritism, excuses, and unreliable operations, this may be the place for you. Otherwise, I’d strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
Its been a long time since my kids were there, but I figure they deserved a review since they were so great and I know how hard it is for special needs parents to find good care. This was also the only place out of dozens that i called that would take him, I was so worried at first that they would take advantage of desperation since my son has low functioning autism, but Mrs Christina went out of her way to cater to his needs and make sure the environment was good for him, the staff even learned simple signing for him. Great prices too, i got a great sibling discount and it is also video monitored.
If I could give 0 stars I would. The worst experience I have ever had as a mom, I put my kids in this day care so I could work and my oldest child states he saw the teacher of the 2 year olds hit them on their hand and yell at them. I went to the state of Texas Licensing to file a report, after an investigation they did determine Violation of the Rules. I have an email as proof. Worst experience ever.
My son started school and no longer goes here but they were excellent when he was attending 3 to 4 years ago. I fully trusted the staff and never had to worry about him as I went through nursing school. Had no issues whatsoever. Definitely recommend.
First let me say. I am big on 1st impressions. That being said I was calling for information over the facility. At first, I was completely happy in how the women responded & was very nice and helpful and understanding. I was honestly surprised on how comfortable I felt with just a phone call. She was very welcoming. I was even looking forward in going in to learn more about the center. The women answering my questions was the administrator of the facility. She even told me to call back to set a time and make an appointment with her assistant Liz. Unfortunately. I couldn't say the same about her assistant. The second she asked about my child's age she brushed me off and saying she was to young and they only did walk thrus the day of orientation. Had she just given me time to speak. She would have known her administrator just informed me about the kids schedule. That if not later that day. The following Monday I would have been able to go in to collect the paperwork to get ahead like her co-worker suggested. I got a complete different vibe from her. Maybe she was a having a bad day or she had a lot of work. That she seemed to be in a rush. Im not sure. I was disappointed 😔. I figure if she was already sassy. How would she get when Im constantly calling in to check on my daughter. (Yes,Im that mom.) Since It would be my daughters first time away from me. I would definitely be calling in to check up on her. I was really looking forward to this center especially after all the great reviews it has been given.
