What Parents Say
Good Shepherd Services receives mixed reviews. Positive reviews praise staff as caring and helpful, with some families crediting the agency with providing life-changing resources and family support services. However, negative reviews raise serious concerns about case management inefficiency, lengthy adoption/reunification processes, financial prioritization over client welfare, and alleged inadequate oversight of foster placements.
uh "good shepheard" is a pizza place in westchester
Cannot get results from this agency! ,if I could give a minus 0 for them it is well deserved! The issues that I have with this agency are just too many to list. The case worker tries, but, there are too many hands in the cookie jar! This agency needs a surprise inspection to review Management, the policy and procedures manuals, MSDS, Client's Records, Contracts with other agencies, financial records, etc.. Good Shepherd is a little bit too comfortable with their modes of operations.
This agency places children with foster families who are abusive, causing emotional and physical damage to children. Where are the home inspections? What does it take to shut this place down and make them accountable for their actions? This is not a community based business this is a money making business and that will always be their priority. They don’t care about reuniting the children with their families, they don’t care who they hire or the quality of service they provide, and they care even less about the safety of these children. You are not a GOOD SHEPHERD!
My family has been trying too adopt OUR FAMILY for almost two years. I have three cousins in this agency and we still haven’t gotten anywhere. They are our own family and they’ve been stalling for this long. All they care about is the money and making sure things are way more difficult. I’m so sick of seeing my own parents struggle with paying too drive out there. Picking the kids up from New York, WE LIVE IN MN BTW!!! I’m getting sick of seeing my parents pay thousands of dollars for kids that we can’t even have because “the paperwork is coming in” or “we are still waiting for the documents”. This agency lies and stalls for as long as they can because every kid too them is a paycheck, they are unorganized and just don’t care. I want my family with my family. But if this keeps on going the way it is it’ll never happen. This is just a horrible agency, horrible workers and just a sad excuse good agency.
Good Shepherd's Services is helping me and my family work out a plan in order to become a stronger unit. I could write a book about this surreal experience, but I just wanted to let others know that this personal experience has proven to me that most social workers devote their life with altruistic intentions of helping families like mine! Thank you Mrs. Clark, Mrs. Rivera, Mrs. Collazo!
