Starting preschool was a huge transition for our quiet and cautious 3-year-old. I'm not sure we could've picked a more nurturing and amazing environment for him to thrive in than ECC. The small class sizes drew us in, the awesome and caring staff moved us with how much they contributed to our son's development. He really blossomed socially, loved going to class, and was well prepared for kindergarten thanks to their play-based learning and emphasis on the whole child. The amount of care his teachers demonstrated towards him is really something we'll treasure forever, and the school director and support staff were also very friendly as well as communicative & organized. The grounds (on but not affiliated with the Rockville Unitarian church) were really nice. The classrooms themselves are quite small, but no problem for the small groups, filled with natural light, and well laid out for imaginative play and age-appropriate learning. They do a nice amount of school-community events for being so small; my son recently enjoyed a picnic even as an alumni recently :) Thank you ECC!
Both my kids attended ECC and loved it. The teachers were warm and the curriculum was engaging. We loved being part of the small community at ECC, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and interactive, play-based preschool education.
Very happy with our experience at this school! The teachers and staff are wonderful, responsive, and genuinely care for their students. They offer lots of creative ideas for play and activities, including yoga and music/dance. I have two alums and they were very well-prepared for kindergarten. They loved attending and had such a great first experience with school.
Our child has attended ECC since 2021 and ECC has been absolutely incredible. The teachers are caring and go above and beyond in the activities they plan for the children (my 4 year old has been cooking in class lately!). I'm amazed at how much my child has learned since starting with ECC. She is already reading and can write the whole alphabet. The classes are small and the kids really form bonds with each other. We recommend ECC to everyone we know!
