I am leaving a 5 star review because the staff here especially Ms Aracelly the head of school has gone out of their way to make each child feel accommodated. My daughter was part of the toddler program and unfortunately she did not have a lead guide due to staff shortages however she bonded well with the assistant guide Ms Josephina and was treated very kindly. She loved her assistant guides, Ms Aracelly, and all her classmates. She would regularly name them when she came home from school. While due to staff shortages unfortunately they did not have a lead guide which I feel there are some benefits lacking there, I still felt my child was well cared for, respected, and loved. I'm sure she will miss the staff and and her classmates very much. I wish everyone at this location the best of luck and the kindest well wishes

We had an exceptional experience at Guidepost Montessori, where our youngest son attended pre-kindergarten and kindergarten. From the initial exploratory meeting to his graduation two years later, the school consistently demonstrated a welcoming and supportive environment. The staff were always attentive to our inquiries, addressing our concerns in a timely and professional manner. What impressed us most, however, was the school's commitment to ensuring our son thrived academically and personally. The teachers took the time to understand his unique needs and developed an individualized plan tailored to his strengths and areas of improvement. As a result, our son not only closed apparent gaps but also excelled in both curriculum and life skills. We are grateful for the dedication and expertise of the Guidepost Montessori team and would highly recommend this school to any family seeking a nurturing and effective educational environment. Our sincere gratitude goes out to the teachers and staff that had a positive and lasting impact on our son throughout his journey at Guidepost - Ms. Jackie, Ms. Clara, Ms. Aracelly, Ms. Mariel, Ms. Markal, and Ms. Carolina.

Our girls had a wonderful experience at Guidepost. Their increase in social skills and independence was amazing to watch. Lastly, the Guides at school were phenomenal and always took the extra step to teach and take care of our girls. Thank you!

It’s been a long time coming that I should’ve left a review about this school. My son was enrolled in 2020 when they first opened this location at 18 months. We were sold on how beautiful the school was and small classrooms especially during Covid and they had half days. He started the toddler program which was amazing. We absolutely loved his toddler teachers. Once he moved on to children’s program that is where things went awful. We had Ms Mariel, Ms Jackie and then Ms Ashely. My son would come home crying saying Ms Jackie was not nice. He would cry at drop of which they kept saying it was because he wasn’t ready. They refused to allow him to stay full days because there said he just wanted to be home. When he would tell me about other kids being mean they always turned it around they it was my child. When he said Ms Ashley pulled a child off a chair aggressive and she didn’t address others not playing with him she told me she didn’t have to make any child play with anyone. Which I understand but you should encourage kids to play together as a teacher teach kindness. I had several meetings with the administration and Ms Mariel about my issues with the classroom and it was met with excuses and it’s my child vs them. After the conversation with Ms Ashley I pulled my child out that same day. Since then he’s now in Kindergaten and he THRIVED the moment we placed him in a different school. Til this day when we drive by there he will say how mean the teachers were at this school. It’s been 3 years since we left and he still remembers how he was treated. Listen to your children and your gut when you think something is not right. I wouldn’t recommend this school.

We have been with Guidepost Montclair for over 2.5 years and our two children love going everyday! We love the education and care they are receiving-top notch! A huge shout out to all the guides but also to the wonderful Aracelly and Markal! You all have become more like family these last few years and we are forever grateful for the wonderful and intentional educational foundation you all have helped lay for our children's lives! We also love all the fun family events planned each month! Such a fun school-wish we could give more star! 🌟
