What Parents Say
NOTE: These reviews are for CCAC Boyce Campus, a community college, not a child development center. Reviews consistently praise the institution for affordable quality education, knowledgeable instructors, accessibility, and successful student outcomes across various programs including CDL, nursing prerequisites, and general studies.
I graduated from Carlow College in 1997, but it was because I got my FIRST start at Boyce Campus CCAC and then transferred over. The instructors were very professional, and I look back with absolutely no regrets! I would encourage anyone seeking a new career path to begin here.
Went here for motorcycle course back in 2012. Unfortunately they don't do motorcycle course anymore. Nice instructor and knowledgeable. Very good to teach starting out on clutch, step by step were throughout. Came back here in 2021 for CDL program, and I was with Chuck Morris for classroom instructor. Very good instructor and very knowledgeable with years of experience to share. Very good person to start the class with. Anyone should be happy to have him. Also worked with John the instructor for on-the-road. I practiced with 48' and 53' trailer. Did off-set parking both sides and parallel parking both sides. Very knowledgeable and will teach you what you need to know and make sure you are prepared for the CDL exam. I'm happy to say I passed all on my first attempt!
Nice to see this community college is still going strong. I went here in the late 70's and got a good start on my path to Penn State.
This Community College is beautiful, however, evilness is being invited here. When there are pictures at the entrance of a demon, the devil, and death, and Michael Myers on a coat- a horror movie serial killer, this invites spirits from hell in the school. My daughter registered in that school and she got deregistered the same day. This is the type of environment that invites terror on college campuses/schools, etc., They need to remove these pictures and put the Cross up because Jesus Christ is the only One that can save us from hell , death, and the grave as He conquered and defeated this!
The Community College of Allegheny county Boyce Campus is a great place to start your continuing education. The school offers a vast array of courses and programs from certificate programs to 2 year degrees. If you have not yet decided which classes you want take, you can choose to earn an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts, which is basically a 2 year degree of classes you must take that are also pre - requisites for most other program specific degrees. This will serve you well with any career choice you make. CCAC also offers testing to help the student find where their strengths, abilities and interests lie. This may assist in guiding you toward a career choice. The college also has non - credit courses you can take. Whether taking these classes out of personal interest, to complement your current job, or simply to broaden your current base of knowledge, these non - credit classes can be of great importance, especially to returning and older students. Financial aid is available in the form of grants, which you do not have to pay back, scholarships that you must apply for, and federal and student loans which you must repay. These are based on each students individual financial status and/or the parents financial status. The financial aid office is very helpful and can guide you through financial liability. CCAC caters to people of all ages, races, genders, ethnicities and disabilities. They have a department to assist those with disabilities to attend class and accomplish their academic goals. Courses are scheduled for various times. Many classes are offered on evenings and weekends in attempt to give more choices to students. All CCAC schools and campuses are handicapped accessible and offer free parking for individuals with disabilities. I highly recommend this facility especially for the money that students can save and for the overall great education that it delivers. You can't go wrong!!!
