I can't say enough good things about Brookland Academy. My son has never been in child care. I was so nervous about him starting a 4K program. He has absolutely flourished here. Every teacher and staff member go out of their way to say hello and make him feel welcomed. He has grown so much this year and learned more than I could have imagined. He loves going to school. I really feel like they have set him up for a bright future in public school. Highly recommend.
My daughter has been attending Brookland Academy CDC now for almost a year and I am elated about her progress. I’m thankful for her teachers and the staff at Brookland academy. Even in the mist of the pandemic they make great strides to make sure that they provide a healthy and clean environment for the children that attend as well as the staff that are they working day to day. If you’re looking for a preschool for your child that is Christian-based Brooklyn academy CDC is the best option!
I am so very thankful for Brookland Academy CDC from the director down through the staff. Upon my son's date of arrival, through the pandemic until now this has been a Blessed and educational experience for our son that will take him a very long way in life.
Best decision I've ever made. They love my baby like no other!!! She is now 2 and has been there since she was a few months old. They potty trained her and she even has homework, which helps me see what she is learning daily. I'm so grateful for BACDC. We love it here!!!
The teachers are dedicated to the children, however, the teacher turnover is really high. The director is super messy and is so interested and involved in people's personal business that she can't work with her PTO members/parents to improve the school for the betterment of the children. The director and her admin assistant faithfully talk about parents as they enter and exit the building. The director will talk about you as well as other parents in front of other parents and staff. She even called a parents job to tell church members things that was going on about their child! People pull their children out because of her, not the facility or the teachers. The board should seriously considering having parents do a survey when they have a child(ren) that leave prior to graduating from its program and after. The director sits on the SC 4K board and is a poor example of an educator for the church and community.
