What Parents Say
This listing appears to be for Bronx Community College, a higher education institution, not a daycare center. The reviews discuss the college campus, faculty, and student experience rather than childcare services.
Got accepted, did everything i needed to months before spring semester. They told me to come in to register my classes when i called them, so I commuted to the college in the 7° weather, just to be turned down over a language error in my last years application. Even after I cleared it up, she told me she can't over look it and said I'll have to start in 2027 (when I'll be almost 27, im 25 right now, my years were wasted). She told me to take an english test ( mind you i grew up in new york) bc there was a language error in my last years application. I just left crying. They had so many chances to tell me this year and last year that that error was gonna be an issue but didn't. They wanted to wait until I come into the office thinking I'll be starting college and then tell me I can't start. This was my first choice both times bc of the online classes and how pretty the campus is and for the first time in years, when i saw i was accepted I felt excitement and had something to look forward to. Sad, angry, frustrated, depressed isnt even enough of a word i can use for this. Even if i can go back in the fall, nothing will feel the same for me anymore being almost 27, starting this late and this horrible experience my last straw. I wont bother trying to attend college anymore. Even applying here was a hassle. Really wish beautiful places like this hired beautiful people. PATHATHIC SUPERVISOR and staff.
Bronx Community College located in the University Heights section of the Bronx is the former home of the NYU College of Arts and Sciences as well as its Engineering school. The Hall of Fame for Great Americans is located there. The latter surrounds the historic Gould Library designed by Stanford White. It is a classic double domed and columned building with beautiful bronze doors. (Think Florence) These buildings are worth the visit. Remember the campus is part of City University and you may have to show ID and have packages inspected.
This is the WORST SCHOOL I’ve attended in my life. EVERYTHING is a scam for more money. It’s literally a hustle. No help from guidance counselors, they don’t know how to work technology so they can’t help you. Blame everything on the influx of students that “need help too” yet ALL OF US are confused and without guidance. We of course still need to uphold our end of meeting deadlines and paying for this garbage without seeing change. I cannot wait to leave this miserable institution.
Visited Bronx Community College today for the First time. Living in the area for years and never knew this was here by the trees of the Major Deegan. The campus is exquisite so much history in the architecture. You really can’t comprehend this is in the Bronx. This use to be the old NYU Campus many years ago. It’s like time stops here the chaos around you just stops doesn’t even feel like you’re in the Bronx for a second. I’m so happy my son chose this school for his College. The College feels very safe and that’s very important to me.
Busar's office always has an attitude when called on the phone, as if they don't want to do their job. Answering the phone by simply saying "Busars" with no greeting is not acceptable customer service, if you ask them any information about your account they will try to give you the service level answer that you already know and won't want to do the leg work on issue.
