My daughter has attended the preschool for 2 years now, she has enjoyed her time at AMP. The staff is friendly and looks happy to see the kids everyday. My daughter comes home and tells me all the things she has learned and how her day was. We have had good teachers both years and look forward to another year!
The preschool at FUMC is phenomenal. When I moved my family to Alvin two years ago, I had a lot of anxiety about finding a good school for my daughter to attend. Prior to hearing about FUMC, I enrolled my daughter at another school in the area and felt heartbroken everytime I dropped her off on my way to work. I knew the school I had enrolled her at wasn’t a good match for her, or our family, because she dreaded going and had anxiety about it even on weekends. I started looking for alternative options, when a local parent I met at my son’s swim team practice, told me about FUMC. I google searched the school as soon as I got home and quickly made up my mind after sifting through their FB photos. Enrolling my daughter at FUMC & pulling her out of a school that dampened her spirit and love of learning, was one of the best parenting moves I’ve ever made. She LOVES her teachers, the school director, and is literally friends with every child in her class - not to mention, she’s learned so much there this past year. She NEVER cries or asks if she has to go to school, she loves to go to school now! The other day, my MIL told me she asked my daughter & her cousins’ (who attend preschool in League City), if the kids in their classes were nice to them - she said my daughter was the only grandchild to respond that every single one of her classmates was kind and they were ALL friends! lol
This looks like a beautiful place. They didn't mind my dog using the yard, of course I also picked it up. Thank you for the invitation. I truly appreciate it. Not only am I not on that side of town anymore. I am not Christian. The people that I have met, the churches that I have been in. I would rather burn in hell than be associated with those types of people in any shape, form, or fashion. I have yet to have met a Christian that lives by the Bible. Unfortunately I am done taking chances. I would rather burn in hell. With people who have morals, respect, and good music.
The director of the preschool is a liar. I told her my son does not take naps and asked her if he could go play in another room during nap time to which she replied “Yes, I’ll make a note of it.” as she wrote something down. When I returned the next day to drop my son off the teacher asked for a nap blanket to my surprise, and she was unaware of my discussion with the director the day before. Luckily, at this moment the director walked up and I thought she would inform the teacher. Instead of abiding by what she told me the previous day, she goes on to tell me that kids who don’t nap can have quiet time on their cot and watch tv. The point isn’t the nap, the point is the director lied to my face about a specific question and even acted out making a note in his file, on something she never was even going to attempt to fulfill. If she was willing to lie about this so easily, what else are they lying about? And who does business with a known liar?
My daughter love's the kids ministry.
