Me and my husband made our very First visit to the campus for Spring Admissions. We were lost figuring out how to get to registry. I got out of the car when we stopped by the student center to ask for directions. Once I got help we were making our way back to the front of the school by the college police center. We had made an honest mistake by driving into one way drive thru where other ppl were driving towards the exit. But honestly in all fairness it looked like a simple parking lot. While my husband was trying you correct his mistake of being on the wrong side, Officer E. Davidson (short, bald, Caucasian, late 40s) with black shades stopped us with intimidation with his big community college police truck yelling outside of the window telling us he is pulling us over. As we pulled over. He came with vengeance and anger and not once asked how we’re doing or do we need help or at least give us a fair warning about the one way street since this was our first time visiting. He just seen a black family in the car and wanted to reprimand us for any little thing he can hold us accountable for. He gave us 2 violation tickets without hearing anything we had to say. For that, it really dimmed our spirit of coming to the campus and trying to make our way to become students here. We prayed as a Christian family and hope we were going to have a safe and cheerful journey to Alvin Community College due to all we heard was great things about the college. OFFICER E DAVIDSON MADE IT CLEAR HE IS DISCRIMINITIVE AND NOT A NICE PERSON AND HAS NO REASONING. HE RUINED OUR EXPERIENCE HERE
4th July Celebrations was awesome here. Not to big not to small plenty parking and live band. Recommend for families

Financial aid dept & admissions have no idea what they are talking about. I completed one semester there and that’s all I could afford because everything was out of pocket. My financial aid was never applied, loans were not approved, and I was told by admissions I could choose whatever classes I needed. I was never contacted by an advisor on how to register for classes or if I had any questions. The 2 professors I had were amazing very helpful.
