Lived in and around Charlotteville for a long time but first year going to this pool. My 3-year old daughter has really blossomed being able to use this outdoor pool almost every day. She dives under water, jumps off the diving board, swims distances under water, and just loves swimming. Great facility and many of the life guards and staff are very personable and know my daughter and always make a special effort to say hi to her. If you have kids it’s a great way to get them exposure to swimming.
After watching two lifeguards completely ignore their own safety guidelines for the slide. Children going down with life vests on, literally not paying any attention to the pool. I have determined I am glad my kids can swim because I would never rely on them to save a kids life. This has become a repetitive pattern of the lifeguards paying little to no attention. Then when a lifeguard does try to enforce the rules they are confronted with angry parents. I will say thank you to the one lifeguard today that was willing to take on parents and actually enforce the rules of the pool.
This amazing pool and water park is the best in cville. Love it here.
Pools are amazing, loved the slides, and everything about the waterpark is super good! Me and my dad go here a lot and our only complain is the food, I mean, I loved the food, but its a little pricy. Other than that, I recommend going here.
We are here for a JSL swim meet. Firstly, the pool is filthy. Not only are there leaves and bugs, but also trash on the bottom of the pool. Even worse, we just had to evacuate the pool due to an electrical storm. More than 400 people were trying to clear the pool area through only ONE open exit! It looked like another was padlocked shut. The staff made no effort to direct people to other exits. This is a huge safety issue. I don't know how the county allows them to operate like this.
