What Parents Say
A Unique Learning Academy receives consistently high praise from parents for its academic rigor, caring staff, and family-like environment. Children demonstrate advanced academic achievement, with many learning to read and write by ages 4-5. Parents highlight the professionalism of owners Mr. and Mrs. Hunt and their teaching staff, along with affordable pricing and quality nutrition.
Safe, Kind, Affordable with Academic Excellence! Both my children attended (5 years) this school until we moved and were unable to attend. It's a small school mainly because the building is small but they develop some great minds. Both my children were more advanced than children who attended elsewhere and my daughter is now in a grade ahead. My children learned to read and spell by age 4 and were writing and reading cursive by age 5. The teachers push the kids to achieve more than what is expected. My husband and I loved it. The staff enforced good behavior and polite manners at school which was awesome. Taking my children here everyday felt like leaving them with well intended, intelligent family. The directors/owners are kind and very professional. They demand and inspire the same level of professionalism from their staff. Ms Marie, Ms Donovan, Ms Deborah, and Ms Jean all A+. If you believe in a "village" this is the place.
I highly recommend AULA to all parents in need of a great private school or daycare. My son has attended A Unique Learning Academy since an infant and this year he will be 6 years old. All of the teachers are trust worthy and will take great care of your kid. The owners are always around and they interact and observe the kids as well. The private school is worth the price and very affordable! I love love love this place ❤️❤️❤️
A Unique is one of the greatest schools in Stone Mountain! I currently have 2 children who attended; my youngest daughter is still there. A Unique Learning Academy is a school I recommend for every child. My husband and I have seen amazing growth within our children. Both kids started in the infant room. Ms. Marie, hands down, is an amazing teacher that singing, laughs with the babies, to teaching age-appropriate skills. She is the perfect fit for the infant room. She will nurture and care for your infant. They will come out of her room ready to be potty trained, counting, knowing some coloring, and even saying a word or two. My kids absolutely love this school. The food at this school is like none other. My 2nd grader who graduated from A Unique in the first grade says "momma the food at my new school is not like A Uniques." I know for a fact, Mrs. Christina puts love in the food for our babies. These babies know when they are being nurtured and cared for. I can go on and on about how great this school is. My two-year-old has just transitioned to Ms. Donovan’s two-year-old class and I already see a major difference in her potty training. She just goes to the potty with no problem. Pretty soon she will be ready for underwear. Ms. Jean is a phenomenal teacher. I made the mistake and took my oldest daughter out in pre-K 4. And within a year of her being away, she slipped in her learning. Therefore, I called Mrs. Hunt and asked if she could come back, and thank God she was allowed to return. She was behind her fellow classmates when she came back, but with Ms. Jean's teaching and instructions, my daughter is superior and excelled. Please don’t second guess coming to A Unique It should be anyone's first choice. You will not be disappointed. The Hunts are great at what they do. Mr. and Mrs. Hunt are amazing directors they truly love the kids and support the parents.
This daycare is hiding something. I heard an audio that a young woman posted of this school basically telling her her son can't go to the school because she wanted to make sure he was safe and not being mistreated by. The young lady was not disrespectful but the staff just told her because she asked if Ms Marie handles her child her son can't go there. You can hear them say that clear as day on the recording. If I ask about my child safety that should not be a reason to have him kicked out of daycare. This school is pathetic. seems to me the young lady was on to something and they kicked her out before she got too much info.
My daughter started in February of 2016 and before she started she was really clingy to me and wasn't really sociable with people. I can say since she's been at AULA she became so sociable she has learned so fast there. She's talking, knows her colors and numbers, and she's 95 % potty trained and she's not even 2 yet. The staff at AULA is great and they love the children as if they were their own.
