I never got a follow up after my volunteer orientation aside from one last minute effort to have me show to something same day. It's a shame they cant coordinate qualified professionals for free help. The mission itself is a noble one.
My church donates alot to YWCA, but that is becoming to stop because I seen that my church donates a car for a needy family so what does staff at the YWCA do they gave it to a co-worker and all donations get picked through by staff and then we get whatever is leftover.. Just makes me upset I could give you so many more many examples
I like living at the Y, it's affordable and cozy.
Not very clean, rude staff, rumors of roaches. Not necessarily true, but I'd lean toward the possibility.
Employees and volunteers have bad attitudes.
