What Parents Say
YWCA Child Care in Green Bay receives consistently positive feedback from families. While most reviews focus on the facility's broader YWCA services (pools, fitness center, Women's Career Closet), those mentioning the daycare program praise it as excellent with wrap-around care for school-aged children and on-site licensed 4-K programming.
I almost put my 4 year old in the daycare. When I went to do the tour I had a bad feeling in my stomach about it. I don't like how secluded the kids are and how you have to go through an elevator to the top floor to get your child and how dingy and dark it felt there. I also don't agree with kids going for walks around downtown area with all the homeless people walking around and doing drugs hanging around the parks. When the instructor was showing me a classroom with 3-4 kids in it another teacher was yelling at the kids in anger and seemed pretty irritable that I was even in the room and witnessed it. They seem very unprofessional and have zero patience.
I've gone here for services. The people are amazing. They kindness goes beyond the expectation of their "job title". They really do have your best interest in mind
I was looking for the negative 0 star option but of course that wasn’t a option, however i am completely disgusted with the ywca downtown location my 4 year old neice had swim lessons and when she got in the pool she accidentally peed into the pool… and the swim instructor felt it on her leg, the swim teacher said she wasn’t gonna tolerate that behavior, my 4 year old neice accidentally urinating through her little swimmer diaper and in to the water when she hit the pool, the swim teacher said she had to get out and leave right then and there or sit on the side and watch because that isn’t tolerated. This swim teacher stated my 4 year old little niece did it on purpose she said it was intentional. I was completely shocked I was completely speechless. (I can’t remember this swim teachers name I wanna say Leanne?” Shame on you YWCA
Madison St. boutique is Green Bay’s best kept secret, not only because of the amazing clothing, shoes and accessories, but the staff. Everyone working there has been lovely, especially Catherine S. What a gem! Her passion for empowering women and their greater good shows in her knowledge and pride of what she is doing . More Importantly her words. It is a joy to see now days.
Great family environment! Warm (88 degree) pools and great quality swimming lessons for all ages and abilities, very nice fitness center that is never crowded, dry sauna, private women's locker room (not children allowed), a family (all genders welcome) locker room with large changing stalls, along with regular men's and women's locker room's. Excellent daycare program with wrap around care for school aged children and on site licensed 4-K program. The Women's Empowerment Center offers professional clothing, jewelry, bags, shoes, etc.. for women at very little ($5.00) cost or for free. The center also provides life skills support and assistance with career building. Multiple times a year the YWCA offers a free family night open to the public that provides learning and safety activities for families. Food is often included in Family Fun Night. Great place!
