Ymca Super Tots

I am shocked at how much I love this place. I have had a membership for years and barely went because I was so nervous about group fitness classes. I'm so glad I just did it in January 2025. I have made amazing connections with amazing women in the classes. So you get a good workout plus socializing which is needed. I started out slow and increased with what works best with my schedule. I love the group fitness instructors and I love the welcome desk staff; they have all been friendly and welcoming. :) It's definitely a family friendly environment. Love all the programs they offer & love their app that shows all of the schedules.

This is a really nice gym. Lots of options for different types of workout. The women lifting área is very small and there wasn't enough room. On the other hand, the gym wasn't that busy so it wasn't needed around noon during the week.

Beautiful remodel, held senior class 2021 post prom her 300 plus kids and had Lots of room, activites and memories created. Staff was on hand and helpful, mist all areas were open to the kids and it was perfect for a night of games and fun.

I used to lift here regularly for about 4 years and have recently moved to a much better gym and let me tell you why. The gym itself has a great selection of equipment and machines considering it’s small size. However they tend to hire some of the worst people. One of my old friends (rest his soul) used to regularly be harassed by one particular employee regularly. Following him around, confronting him about taking pictures of himself in the public mirrors, and talking bad about him to other employees and members of the gym. Now it has been a few years later and I now have another friend being harassed at this YMCA location. She wore a tank top (full length) and some shorts to the gym the other day and tell me why Michelle (employee) followed her around her entire lift just to confront her and tell her to leave because her outfit was “inappropriate” my friend then stated that she has a copy of the outfit guidelines and she is in fact not violating any of them. This lady continued to just scream at her about how she’s going to get banned if she doesn’t leave and all of these unnecessary things. She eventually just gave up and left because her workout was already ruined. It’s unfortunate how loyal paying customers are treated here. I would never recommend going here to workout your so much better off just going to planet fitness.

The Norfolk YMCA me moving back to Norfolk and seeing what all has been added to this town 10 years after moving away the norfolks YMCA is a great selection not only for the parents the children but in all for the community at first price wise for membership there it's a little pricey for someone who will spend maybe two or three days there a week out of the month but now some reason the price is dropped I got me a membership for me and my brother and I'm there almost every day rather be working out swimming watching a tournament are playing basketball against friends soaking in the jacuzzi sweat room and the sauna for the price you are you're worth it I love everything about this facility I have not one complaint it's clean it serves the community in every way and it gives back to what you put into it I've been at the gym about 3 weeks now and I like the work I put into it I like the outcome so I will continue paying for those memberships for me and my brother because it gives me something to do and this community of Norfolk as an adult which we don't have much of here besides drinking and alcohol for those who don't like drinking and alcohol or other recreational this would be a nice one to add to your to-do list I promise you you would start to like and love the person you look at in the mirror when you start using this facility for what it was put here for start enjoying life get off that couch get off that sofa get from in front of that TV no matter if you 5 years old or 80 years old this structure as a place for you it will give you mobility strength and endurance and more than one way and it also gives you a chance to meet and greet the people in this community the YMCA I give you five stars because of what your purpose is and for and the welcoming you give to all the many different people in this community keep up the good work and I can see this community keeping something like this this business this structure in this community for more than just a lifetime you enable people to live love and laugh a lot longer than they would without this YMCA so to you I thank you and I can't thank you enough
