Our infant son was just here for five days before we withdrew him from this daycare. I will say some positive things before I go into the negative. The staff was always nice and very professional. The building is clean, and I like how each room is separate for the different age groups. I also like how they gave you a sheet at the end of the day, telling you about your child’s day. The first thing I didn’t like was two out of the five days I picked him we was soiled. One day was pee and the other was a poop. Which on the paper they gave me said they just checked him. But the poop was dried to him took an effort to wipe it off. So I knew he had been sitting in it for awhile. Everyday I would pick him up he would be crying. Which I get it babies cry. But I can already tell a difference in child care because where my child is at now, he isn’t crying when I pick him up. The final straw for me was the accident he had. And he just started walking and accidents happen, they fall down etc. My sons fingers were cut from a trash can. And when they called and notified me, I trusted their judgment and they said he was fine. Pick him up and the accident story changed, and I noticed the trash can was still in the room. You would think the trash can hurt a baby, we should probably remove it. Nope. I get my son home and his cuts were so deep and still actively bleeding after 3hrs of being notified. Immediately took him to the ER. He ended up needing stitches. I probably would have kept him in their care still if they would have had better judgment, stayed to one story, and removed the trash can from the room. Those were my reasons for pulling my child from their care. I wish I could share a photo of my sons fingers I just don’t see how a cut that deep can come from a trash can, without force behind it.

My daughter has been going to Little Steps Academy since she was 6 weeks old, it's going on a year and we are still very pleased with how they treat her. The staff have became family to us. My husband and I feel comfortable each and every day she is dropped off and we have to go to work. She is always filled with smiles and giggles when we come back to get her. They have helped my babygirl grow! I'm am super sad because we are relocating and if I can take Little Steps Academy with us, we will!! Will miss them SO much.

Our son attended Little Steps. It's small daycare which makes it feel more family oriented. You can tell the staff enjoys taking care of the children. He was 11 months and brought home cute art projects.

My son attended Little Steps Academy from September 3rd, 2019-January 16th, 2020. During his time at there so much happen in such little time. To start their Director of the school Mrs. Sharon Young is a very rude and nasty woman. Always so pleasant to my husband but very rude to me. Anytime I had a question about anything concerning my son she gave me nasty looks and short answered me with an attitude as if I could not ask. She is very argumentative. And anytime I asked to speak to the owner Mrs. Tina Edmonds she would question why and I would repeat I just would rather speak with her. During one occasion I was speaking with the owner Ms. Tina Edmonds and I was asking her about what the expectations were of parents when picking up our children because every-time I would come in Mrs. Sharon Young would have something to say such as, I cannot come to the classroom door to pick up my son or I could not ask his teachers how was his day. I could not walk my son into the classroom or she would rush me to drop him off if I was speaking to him prior to letting him go into the classroom and the list goes on. Moving forward when I was speaking to Mrs. Tina Edmonds about the expectations of parents, Mrs. Sharon Young was very rude and loud interrupting our conversation say what she thought I wanted to say but was terribly wrong. She was yelling and being very nasty. Mrs. Tina Edmonds said she would take care of the situation with Mrs. Sharon Young but in my opinion did not. Because had she handled it, nothing else would've continued with her director. Unfortunately, I still had very difficulties with the Director Mrs. Sharon Young. She began to pick with me about everything! Always had an attitude with me and I still have no clue why. At one point she stopped speaking to me. I mean this is the director of a school for goodness sake! It was truly getting out of hand. She would slick things to me out her mouth and I would again report these issues to the owner Mrs. Tina Edmonds, yet nothing seemed to happen to her. When I put my two week notice in for my son, he started coming home with a rash. I informed Mrs. Tina Edmonds that my son was being picked up everyday with a wet diaper. At this point my son was in the director Mrs. Sharon Young's class because they have no employees. Mind you we were paying $700 a month for him to go here. Nothing changed. My son now has a DIAPER RASH. On the very last day, I was un-informed that there was no school on January 17th, 2020. I told the director Mrs. Sharon Young and she wanted to argue per usual. We exchanged words and I walked away to some chairs they have by the entrance to get my son's belongings on. I stood him on the chair to put his hat on and the Director Mrs. Sharon Young PUSHED MY SON BY THE LEGS SAY " he cannot stand on these chairs". IF I HAD NOT BEEN STANDING THERE HE WOULD'VE FELL. SHE CONTINUED TO PUSH HIM SEVERAL TIMES TRYING TO MAKE HIM FALL AS I PLACED HIM BACK DOWN ON THE CHAIR TO GET HIS BALANCE, BUT SHE CONTINUED TO PUSH HIM AND US INTO A CORNER. I WAS LITERALLY SCREAMING AT THIS POINT FOR HELP TO GET HER OFF MY CHILD. ANOTHER PARENT RAN OVER TO HELP ME SCREAMING SOMEONE GET THIS WOMAN SHE IS CRAZY YOU CANNOT PUT YOUR HANDS ON THIS LADY CHILD LIKE THAT. If you can imagine my heart was racing and rage was fueling me. A teacher ran out and so did the owner in attempt to stop her. When they pulled the director Mrs. Sharon Young away from us she began smiling and laughing as if this is some game. This was the worst day of my life at this point. My son was in tears and so was I. Once things calmed down some the owner Mrs. Tina Edmonds literally asked me to not make a complaint about her business but to only make it on Mrs. Sharon Young. I could not believe that, that is what she was thinking about during this time. I am disgusted with the whole business. Mrs. Tina Edmonds seems very sweet but to me plays both sides. She encouraged me to still go to the door and get my son and still ask questions because that is my child. But then I still get the same very rude answers.
